hey

the other day i made a phone call to CES (Custom exhaust systems) and they told me that an R33 gtst skyline has stock 143kw at the wheels. they than told me that they have an exhaust system worth, $1900 that will give the car dyno proven 180 to 188kw at the wheels, and after that installing a kn or decent air filter, and turning up the boost to around 11 or 12 they can produce up too 200rkw, do u think this is true, because they say they have dyno proven results and if it is than the car would have to be pushing high to medium 13 second times, wouldnt u think? can someone shead some light on this topic becasue im sure if its true than alot of poeple will want their exhaust.

CES are very good, the only complaint I have heard of is the price, but as the old saying goes "you get what you pay for". And I think in this case from what I heard its true. Dunno about there power increases though, 200 rwkw could be achieved with their list plus a decent intercooler and aftermarket ECU (powerFC). 200 rwkw without even a SAFC seems a little far fetched to me, I am pretty sure around the 200rwkw mark is limit for standard turbos anyway, give or take a few. Depends on the condition of your engine also, so many variables!

would you stop f.ucking stop double posting everything you want to say on here on different sections, and in different posts?!

...kind of annoying, and its not going to get any better response. In fact you'll probably get less so because it shits people.

Generally speaking for a 33, and gauging by other members results, would I be wrong in guestimating this?...

130-135rwkW - Stock

140-150rwkW - Full 3" Exh & Air filter

160-180rwkW - Full 3" Exh, Air filter/Feed/Partition, FMIC, 12PSI, Fuel Pump, SAFC.

180-200rwkW - Full 3" Exh, Air filter/Feed/Partition, FMIC, 12PSI, Fuel Pump, SAFC/PowerFC, Exh Cam Gear.

interesting results...

i would assume that 40kw increase is not at the wheels

intercooler, 3in double dump and increased boost from the higher flow would probably give 200kw

$2000 would almost get you a intercooler installed and maybe a catback exhuast, id spend the extra 500 and get the double dump and finish off the rest of the exhaust at EXOTIC EXHAUST.

I doubt you would be able to get a GTST into a true 200RWKW without changing the turbo, and if you could it is just a matter of time until you need a new turbo anyway.

definintely not something that would last or recommend however what i suggested would be the absolute minimum to get even close to 200kw

sorry if i mislead n e one

i dont think it would be hard to crack 200rwkw on the stock turbo. I got 181rwkw atm with the mods in my sig on 10psi, and i reckon with a exh cam gear and 12-13psi and a bit of tuning would get me 200rwkw. The turbo is fine at the moment i dont see how an extra 20kw would kill it. But i do agree that it will reach its "safe" limits then and i will look into highflowing.

    • haha don't worry I'm sue you've got more fun ahead buying a 30 year old turbo car....but at least you are in the right place to ask
    • some days eh? The keyless entry and interior light on/off with the key will be controlled by the Body Control Module, but I'm not certain where that is or what it looks like (you might get lucky with a search to get a part#, which could be printed on it). I'd start at the A pillar/ Under dash/kick panel on the driver's side
    • It might be hit and miss, but Nissan Genuine Parts and Pitworks are not the same thing, although both are available from Nissan Dealers with Nissan Part Numbers. Nissan Genuine Parts are the OEM stuff, Pitworks are their attempt to get people back from generic parts makers
    • I did end up getting it sorted, as GTSBoy said, there was a corroded connection and wire that needed to be replaced. I ended up taking out the light assembly, giving everything a good clean and re-soldered the old joints, and it came out good.
    • Wow, thanks for your help guys 🙏. I really appreciate it. Thanks @Rezz, if i fail finding any new or used, full or partial set of original Stage carpets i will come back to you for sure 😉 Explenation is right there, i just missed it 🤦‍♂️. Thanks for pointing out. @soviet_merlin in the meantime, I received a reply from nengun, and i quote: "Thanks for your message and interest in Nengun. KG4900 is for the full set of floor mats, while KG4911 is only the Driver's Floor Mat. FR, RH means Front Right Hand Side. All the Full Set options are now discontinued. However, the Driver's Floor Mat options are still available according to the latest information available to us. We do not know what the differences would be, but if you only want the one mat, we can certainly see what we can find out for you". Interesting. It seems they still have some "new old stock" that Duncan mentioned 🤔. I wonder if they can provide any photos......And i also just realized that amayama have G4900 sets. I'm tempted too.
