Hey guys I need some help please. I have a r34 GTT recently I did a few mods to my car and one of those mods were injectors.

I chose to use the NISMO s15 480cc injectors. as you all know these are side feed, so i had to chnage my fuel rails to r33 side feed rails.

Becase i changed that I alo had to chnage my stock plenum to r33.

What i didnt know unitll i had chnaged the plenum over was the IAC vave on the r34 plenum was at the back

The IAC valve for the r33 pleum is at the front the bolting holes are also different.

Also he r34 is a AAC/IAC built in one.

Where as if i just go any purchase a r33 IAC valve and straight bolton i wont have my AAC.

My question is there anyway to fit my stock r34 IAC valve on to the r33 plenum?

Has anyone ever done any custom work to make this work or know of anyone or anyplace that can help me.

i would really appreciat it.

actually it wouldnt be that hard to convert the IAC, just drill and tap new holes to mount it and make a hole for airflow. might find you can reuse at least one of the original boltholes and the main airway too.

I made a blanking plate for mine in the old r33, and with a rips plenum i had to start from scratch just as above.

Obviously taking the top half of the plenum off would make it easier.

What do you mean? A R33 is a Idle Air Control and Auxilary Air Control valve in one just as the R34 one is.

But yeah definetely should have just bought Neo injectors.

Guys i know if i just got top feed injectors may have been easier ok but more expensive. I Got the rails 6 injectors and side fuel rails all pretty cheap.

ANyway PM-R33 are you sure A R33 is a Idle Air Control and Auxilary Air Control valve in one just as the R34 cause then i'll just go pick one one and straight bolt on right?

Bro seriously, you can still sell all that gear and buy some top feed injectors!

It'll only cost ya a few more hundred dollars, instead of weeks of headf**k. I dunno why you've gone to all this hassle when you could've bought the right injectors in the first place?

There's no guarentee that the R33 idle valve will be controlled exactly the same as the R34 one. It might have a different plug and different ECU signal.

I can foresee soo much fail in this set-up!

I agree. just sell the gear you've bought and buy the right injectors for your original set-up. what an effort changing all that gear just to have 480cc injectors. it's nuts.

Yeh I would swap back if I were you mate. I bought my 650cc PWR injectors second hand for $500, they plugged straight in no messing around. I do understand why you were tempted to go to side feed injectors though, plug and play injectors for R34's are either ludicrously expensive or ridiculously hard to find! I found some in the end though, I think it would be the better option... If you are comfortable using Siemens injectors then they are an easy/cheap option, my tuner just told me to stay away from them.

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
