Can anyone recommend or give some advice. Looking at the current 2003 Yamaha R6 or 2003 Honda CBR 600RR.

Does anyone ride these here and also whats your opinions. Just want something for fun. Not a good rider at all, so something easy to control and handle.

Thanks for your advice.

Thanks for the reply,

I looked at the 2001 R6 & 2003 R6 Today. The newest model has a slightly smaller looking frame and additions like digital tacho with Shift light. Then i saw the new 600RR. That looks just as crazy.

ridden both R6 still get the wobblies without a steering damper and bit skitich but fun cbr lot more stable i recon and just as much fun but depends on your riding skills what u preffer more experinced r6 if not cbr

if you want a good buy guide have a look at wreackers you will find a the most common droped bikes are gsx600rs the r6's and the honda and kawaski's not as many first two mostly power second to more rider friendly my 2 c worth

and why bother with a 600??? just buy a 750.. yes it owns cause its 750.. so buy a 750.. you'll only wanna upgrade later.. save the dosh buy it now.. 600cc is the most expencive rego bracket, 750's are much cheeper, the bikes cost the same upfront... just my op anyway!

iknow i will get burnt for this but i have been riding for as long as i remember and the bike that i loved the most was an RS250, now these are a 2 stroke race bike with lights. they are only about $10K new and they are hot as hell. i would not ride one for a long period of time and would never think about it as my main form of transport but they are ahell of alot of fun to ride and it sounds like that is what u want. the skill level is higher to rides these but learn to ride one and you wil love it, hmmmmm track days..

oh yeh

R6`s and R1`s are hot as well and are designed for longer riding, the RS`s are a born race bike and they feel it when on the road, that would be one of the quickest bikes to ride on the road. but if ou are just in for looks and a great all round bike go for the 2004 R6 the are sex on wheels(only 2) and when they want to they will take off like a rocket.

anyway that is what i think, just to give you some more ideas.

I just want a nice looking bike to ride when i feel like it. Thats all. Like the look of the R6 and New CBR600RR. Anything next is just too big for me. 250 is too small.

Both bikes looks really nice though...

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
