you can buy the flat boot direct from east bear too, I can organise shipping down here if anyone wants it. Difference between the Do Luck and the east bear is that the East Bear one allows you to put your boot lock back in (so you can open the boot using the key as per usual). The Do Luck does not.

To All,

A couple of years ago i faced the same problem, that i wanted the flat look on our '33(but in our case it was to fit a center mount gt style spoiler on top of it) so what i did was to commission a friend Wally Sillins of SILLINS SPECIAL VEHICLES (S.A.) to make a very nice looking flat blade style drift wing with in built led brake light. We have sold 1/2doz here in sa. and one in wa.The price here was i think around the $250. fitted but unpainted,so i would imagine any going interstate would have the price adjusted accordingly(IE: - the fitting price)

So any one interested give Wally a ring and make some inquiries (ph: 08 83879922 or email at [email protected] , he's a great bloke who's only too willing to help.

Regards,

4dr_sleeper got any photo of your car from the back? i might have 2 look into that, im guessing it would be much cheaper than a aftermarket one

I only have this one (not that good an angle)

PS - not all 4 door skylines have the plastic bit between the taillights, other look more like a std. skyline

do u have a photo? and how much $$$ ?

will the boot off of a 4 door fit?

the 4 door boots give a flat finish, and look simmilar to those on the R34, you may be able to attach R34 spoilers aswell.

Just out of curiosity... was yours always a GTS-25t?

I just thought that style of boot was for the GTS... I'm probably way off, as I say a guy in Newy with that same style boot, so i thought it was just a GTS... then he took off... then i caught up and saw it had a GTS-25t badge on the back, i still thought maybe he got a RB25DET and stuck the sticker on the back...

This is probably such a n00b question but hey, u gotta learn somehow?? :bat:

Yes the car was always a GTS-25t, but I have seen other cars that look almost identical that are GTS-25's

I think its the same as the 2 door GTS-25's - you need to look for 4 stud wheels, and a blue GTS badge to indicate its not a turbo. ( and a lack of power :-P )

PS - No such thing as a stupid question if you honestly dont know the answer. I have been guilty of asking questions (when I first started out in skylines that ) that I think back on now and think "What a n00b for asking that"

    • I read this and thought "ah! I will do this scissor jack on the tow point thing!" I just use my floor/low profile/costco jack and lift the car up by the tow hook itself, then slide jack stands under. Never thought about using scissor into floor jack combo :p
    • Well, my new WMI system took much longer to finalize. I actually missed my dyno appointment last Friday and lost my 150$ deposit. I'll be going back in the next week or two.  To sum it up. I only kept the AEM tank from my old setup. I replaced the AEM pump with a higher flow/pressure ProMeth 30GPH pump. I also swapped over to a 6AN low pressure feed line to the pump from the tank. There's also a pressure switch you cannot see on the pump high pressure line.    This is feeding 6x 200CC direct port nozzles and 1x 500CC Pre Throttle body nozzle. All fittings are Swagelok, because well why not. I also have a 300PSI pressure sensor up front.    I now have my Haltech ECU controlling everything. I start my pump with a basic relay at 5PSI and deadhead it. I then PWM a 3000CC methanol Injector to control flow starting around 10psi. The pressure switch in the trunk, along with my tank level are safeties before I ever get to 10PSI, and then I use my pressure sensor upfront as a secondary safety to cut the WMI and corrections in case the injector blocks or a line ruptures.  Wish me luck on the dyno!
    • So, I'm back with bad news. There's no jack long enough on this planet that will reach the front subframe. If by some chance there is, it would weigh 200lb's.  I purchased a long reach jack... The damn thing weighted 120lb's and was massive. Didn't even come close, was still short at least a foot. It was a pain, but I brought it back. Next I decided HA! No problem, I'll get an Extra long reach jack. Well, I couldn't lift the box... It must have weighed 160LB's and luckily there was an open box in store. I took measurement and was still nowhere close.  Sadly I've lost hope and have accepted defeat.
    • Thanks for that tip, niZmO_Man. I think the battery is OK. It's quite a new one, but I'll check. Last time I needed a new battery, everything electronic was fine, except that there wasn't enough current to turn over the starter. I decided to order one of the partial AV system translation CDs from Car Audio Workshop in NZ. That might have some effect, or help me diagnose the date problem. 🤞
    • I suppose it was relatively stock too, the JZ motor handle most mods thrown at them without even breaking a sweat
