Dude, you're roughly 20-30mins away from either me or Matt (in different directions, though), so all you have to do is let one (or a few) of us know when you wanna go out for a shoot, and we'll tee something up.

noted! find a midpoint :P keep in mind i'll be in a commodore haha, hangs head in shame.

Matt & Kory will be using my Foz soon to take yours Sid, Nick's Stag and others interested.

If Matt (lying down) gives me any lip > I get upset > my right foot twitches > turbo comes on boost > terry leaves scene of an accident :P

I reckon this would look much better if the wheels were turned the opposite way. Definitely a cool photo with cool location!

Agreed. Didnt get to setup the car. Just saw my opportunity and took it while i could :P

the background turns from a good shot into a great shot. i was going to get all sunset and flare on it but thought i'd keep it simple and clean to bring the cars out. cheers homeboy.

a note for HDR kings on cars... be mindful that your hdr will more than likely bring out all the reflections in the paint. something to think about.

If you're referring to the awful reflections in my shot note it isn't hdr. Just a damn bright sun.

Sweet shots Serg. Always improving in my eyes. Killin it.

I'll be Terry trash talking! But don't kill me. Preferably run over matt first so i can get a good laugh and then he can't laugh at me.

I've softened up...

I inspected (for Matt's sake) the Forester "Child Restraint"

Fulcrum bolt is half sawn through. It's only a matter of time... hehe...

CHild restraint... You'll be lucky if I show some restraint next time we meet, old man ;)

Got some new top secret photo gear arriving today! woot ;) You'll have to wait and see what it is though.. ahhh the suspense!

wow! some more awesome action shots. all very good! You have media pass from looking at the locations?

Here's something different to the normal cars I shoot. A Holden FX Ute. Built in the late 60's locally. Lovely car. THis one was built up from a rusty shell by a friend and his old man. They've currently working on a pro-stock Vdub beetle for something different :P

Enjoy!

It's available in 1920x1080 on my site too.

didnt really do the scene any justice, but it looked so awesome when the sun was hitting the smoke through the trees. bit hard to get a good shot when your holding the camera with your off hand and the other hand is holding something smoking, lol.

might give it another go and see if i can get it right

Well, I thought I'd share the results of my first experiment with actual rig shots. actually, it's my 2nd attempt, but the first attempt was with a $5 piece of junk that nearly cost my camera :P (FAIL)

I haven't made a boom yet. Hope to get this done during the week. Having a limited range of positions i thought I'd get creative to try to tap some angles not usually done by others. thoughts?

    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
    • So M12 and sealant should be fine?    NPT ” because that’s what I had and what I could get atm.
    • Wouldn’t touch par if they gave it to me. You need to ask how much power you’re looking to make and then add about 50% to it because that’s what you’ll end up making  The factory box says no more at about 350kw or so, the upgraded synchro boxes won’t handle much over 500kw for long and at that point you’re looking at an auto or dog engagement manual,  once you’ve gone dog engagement you may as well go sequential, they cost a little bit more but it’s worth it  also while you’re at it you should upgrade the transfer case with 10 friction plates
