What:  A Skyline Cruise (oh yeah baby)

When: This friday 27th September (2 days from now)

Time: 8:30pm

Where: Nando's (where you kill em and we grill em)

           958 Doncaster Rd

           Doncaster,  VIC,  3108

  :jump:

See you all there !!  Dont forget to bring your skyline :uh-huh:

i rekon we should have made it 2 Albert Park coser for everyone. I don't think I'll be going for this cruise........doubt it now, since my other friend said it'z 2 far for him......

Dude, your driving a skyline!  Dont be scared!

I live in Berwick man.. thats like one of the last stops in Zone 3 (public transport)

COME!!  You know you want to :D

then y not make it @ Albert Park...y is it better to make it @ Nandoz? Make a new thread stating where would they rather go. I rekon city would be the best place 2 show your skylinez off :uh-huh:

doncaster or albert park they're both the same distance from me (fairfield) whoever is going, meet up at your most convenient location, and when whichever cook wants to come up with a route, how about we all jus join up along that route?

Jus warning ya, too many cooks... yadda yadda.

Personally I don't wanna go to dandy mountains at 9/10 in the night... jus sumbad omens I have about guys in fast cars in twisty turvey areas with bad lighting.

which brings us to the 2nd question... where does everyone wanna END UP? maybe if we figured that out I'll come up with a route where everyone can join up on (including Albert park and Doncaster Nando's ppl).

Honestly its not that far drom doncaster to albert park so how about the ppl that meet at nando's cruise to albert park n meet up with the others.

*clap clap clap clap the noise ur momma makes when shes walkin... clapclapclapclapclap the noise yo momma makes when shes running... clap the thing yo momma has that creme in the cupboard for*

im down if we're meeting up at nando's, its like 5mins from my place :D but seriously, its only like 20mins from the ct if u take the eastern freeway.

and if its a cruise, i really wouldn't recommend cruising around the ct on a friday nite, u won't be getting outta 1st gear much.

true...especially this holiday.......we should leave this till next week....no rush huh guyz?

even tho im not gonna make it (gotta fix my brakes)but...this is a "cruise" so a little bit of driving is to be expected! just remember the idea of this is for us "skylinerz" to get together, and with people living all over melbourne (and further) some people are going to have to travel a long way. so i think "a" person shuld make somewhere practical to meet, and somewhere practical to drive to. then everyone should be happy to meet up, not complain, and enjoy the night as im sure you will!!!!:burnout:

i dont wanna sound like my mum but i just think you are all ruining what could be a great night!!! (to cut this post short - stop ur sookin ya babies!!!):D :D :D

wel dats wot i fink n e way:p

    • Yeah, it's getting like that, my daughter is coming over on Thursday to help me remove the bonnet so I can install the Carbuilders underbonnet stuff,  I might get her to give me a hand and remove the hardtop, maybe, because on really hot days the detachable hardtop helps the aircon keep the interior cool, the heat just punches straight through to rag top I also don't have enough hair for the "wind in the hair" experience, so there is that....LOL
    • Could be falling edge/rising edge is set wrong. Are you getting sync errors?
    • On BMWs what I do because I'm more confident that I can't instantly crush the pinch welds and do thousands of USD in chassis damage is use a set of rubber jacking pads designed to protect the chassis/plastic adapter and raise a corner of the car, place the aforementioned 2x12 inch wooden planks under a tire, drop the car, then this normally gives me enough clearance to get to the front central jack point. If you don't need it to be a ramp it only needs to be 1-1.5 feet long. On my R33 I do not trust the pinch welds to tolerate any of this so I drive up on the ramps. Before then when I had to get a new floor jack that no longer cleared the front lip I removed it to get enough clearance to put the jack under it. Once you're on the ramps once you simply never let the car down to the ground. It lives on the ramps or on jack stands.
    • Nah. You need 2x taps for anything that you cannot pass the tap all the way through. And even then, there's a point in response to the above which I will come back to. The 2x taps are 1x tapered for starting, and 1x plug tap for working to the bottom of blind holes. That block's port is effectively a blind hole from the perspective of the tap. The tapered tap/tapered thread response. You don't ever leave a female hole tapered. They are supposed to be parallel, hence the wide section of a tapered tap being parallel, the existince of plug taps, etc. The male is tapered so that it will eventually get too fat for the female thread, and yes, there is some risk if the tapped length of the female hole doesn't offer enough threads, that it will not lock up very nicely. But you can always buzz off the extra length on the male thread, and the tape is very good at adding bulk to the joint.
    • Nice....looking forward to that update
