Hi people, im looking at side feed injectors for my RB25DET.

Are genuine JECS 550cc injectors any good? I understand that alot of higher cc JECS injectors are in fact high-flowed stock ones but its the genuine brand new ones im talking about here...

cheers

Justin

A lot of the Zed guys have been using them. Few of us with the 750's have had issues with leaking o-rings though, probably worth changing them out for new viton ones to save the effort down the track just in case.

just bought the genuine brand new JECS 550cc side feeds. Look the business- 12 holes per injector! pricey tho...

interestingly they look identical to pics of nismo 555cc's.

looking forward to these + a GT-RS snail pushing the ponies

Just letting every one know. They aren't brand new even the seller advertised them as brand new. They are high flowed injectors. Mine just turned up, and there are visible tool marks on all of them. not sure if they work good, but freken pissed at this stage.

There's a paper report came with them, I bet he's printed 1000s of those and give away with all the injectors he's sold.

Also those are pin head nozzles. not sure how good the pattern's going to be like.

yeah 90%+ of the JECS injectors out there are high-flowed 2nd hand stock injectors....

the pics iv uploaded are of my JECS 550's which as you can see are brand new and 12 hole sweet-hearts. Thats why you pay in the vicinity of $1000 for these kind of units...

you should be able to pursue this sale for refund as its misleading/incorrect info on the sale site in saying they are brand new. Take it up with the seller/ebay/paypal. Also take some photos now to show the condition 'as they arrived'.

Again, a little bit of research on the SAU site would have uncovered this common scenario for you before you sent money to 'the land of rising debt' instead of 'the land of the rising sun'. :whistling:

Common mistake though...

Damn it!!! I just ordered some 550cc JECS from the same guy today

Are you sure those tool marks aren't just from where they have been flow tested?

What other evidence is there that they are not new items? what packaging did they come in?

I have exchanged a number of emails with this guy and he insists that they are unmodified, brand new items...

Please keep us informed of what transpires between you and this dodgy prick

Cheers

brand new injectors shouldnt have tool marks on them because the procedure they would use would avoid this at the factory during the flow testing procedure.

Otherwise check his nozzle compared to the genuine ones on mine. Completely different...

They looks like pliers marks when pulling them out. Also the colour of the pin in the top all in different colours, no way they are "Brand New" by ebay's definition. I think I'm just going to use it as take more time to get the same thing, hopefully they works as what that piece of paper says.

the reason they are the same, is probably, because they are

people like HKS, NISMO, tomei etc probably dont even make their own injetors and simply brand JECS ones

JECS make a ton of OEM parts so they should be fine and suitable, your stock injectors would be JECS

exactly, stock Rb injectors are JECS injectors.

and the Nismo and HKS injectors etc are simply rebranded JECS injectors albeit the higher cc ones.

however that doesnt detract from the fact that these internet 'JECS' injectors are a highflow on 2nd-hand stock JECS job, instead of specifically designed, brand new injectors at 550, 750cc etc that JECS engineered and manufactured themselves.

OK thanks mate. I am just not going to pay at the end of the auction if I win the items on Ebay... at least I still have a choice at this stage...

Ebay sucks it is just full of dishonest wankers like this!

Have you left explicit negative feedback on Ebay for this vendor so others are saved from the same fate?

I know JECS are good injectors and that they make the OEM injectors as well as after market items which are re-branded by some of the big names but selling these high-flows as brand new items sucks big time.

If the guy is this full of sh1t about the product I wouldn't trust him to do a decent job of high-flowing the injectors... why would he when clearly he doesn't care?

Ebay don't care either as long as they get their cut and PayPal's money back guarantee is a load of crap... I've been down that path before! FAIL

Good luck and keep us posted how you get on

where i got mine. http://www.injectorsonline.com/indivprod.php?cid=74&scid=13

pricey but worth it being the genuine article and also being in australia means following up with issues is more straight forward and possible + spending $ in Australia = win.

yeah if you arent buying brand new injectors in box with warranty card or some sort of documentation then thats your own risk/fault

the nismo ones from memory only come in pairs in boxes and come with some sort of documentation / paperwork

so if you are bidding on a pic of injectors in a plastic bad, you know its not legit

imagine buying a legit BOSCH air flow meter from REPCO and it came in no bag, no box, no packaging, just an airflow meter

you wouldnt be too keen on it now would you?

FYI - I emailed this guy overnight and here is what he had to say for himself (which is what he has maintained in the past... maybe he is being honest?):

Hello

I just put a bid on these injectors for an RB25 on ebay and I am not happy...

I have also just found on a forum someone who purchased the same items off you and said that they are not brand new and in fact had tool marks on them etc (see link below)

http://www.skylinesa...32#entry5898332

It is not in your best interests to be ripping off the Skyline community here in Australia and around the world.

Just be honest and save everybody the f**king hassle mate; own up to the fact that they are re-manufactured and not factory 550cc JECS items.

It is really worth being dishonest about these things? There is a lot of heartache and money on the line here with high performance turbo charged vehicles.

It is dealers like you that give the good, honest Ebay dealers a bad name...

they are brand new injectors. They are flow tested before they are shipped. The marking you see are making the removing tool from the testing rail. They are brand new injectors not remanufactured. I have been selling our injectors on ebay for yearsss. I have great feedback to prove. Not one customer complained about used or remanufactured injectors. Everything that is listed in the auction is exactly what you will receive. From: Jamie Graham Sent: Tuesday, July 05, 2011 3:01 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Ebay: Brand new JECS 550cc injectors

    • I'd be very surprised if you can buy new OEM mats. But if you can, I want some too!  Do you have links to the variations you found? Also, where are you located? I found that Nengun is happy to list items to purchase but when you do buy them you'll get an email that it's actually discontinued. As far as I know the variations in floor mats are different colour schemes as well as automatic and manual having a slightly different shape. The automatic ones fit into a manual car without issues, but I think you'd have trouble fitting the other way around. I have photos that show the shape difference if you care. FWIW I bought sets of used floor mats in decent condition at yahoo auctions.
    • Hi 🙋‍♂️. Just bought my Unicorn but the interior need some minor work so it would match my expectations ;). I noticed it is hard to get used oem floor mats in good condition so i started to dig if there's any chance to buy set of new ones. I found two websites - nengun and amayama and it looks like one can still buy factory new floor mats in Japan, but thers a small issue. Some mats (i assume genuine, oem ones) are marked as G4900 and these are "discontinued". The ones you can buy are marked as G4911 but i have no idea if these are also oem, made by other producer or some lower quality replacements that looks entirely different. Can anyone help? 😃  P.s. there is also some strange indication - 0V005, 0V015 and 0V505. Any idea what does it mean? Would appreciate any help with this 🙏
    • Hi, Marek here 🙋‍♂️. I finally fulfilled my longtime dream - recently bought Stagea and now waiting for it to arrive in Poland. There's only few of these in my country, and one of the owners  recommended mi this forum as a source of all the info i'd need since now i own one  so here i am.
    • Version 1 aluminium airbox is.......not acceptable No pics as I "didn't like the look.....alot" Even after all my "CAD", and measurements, the leg near the fusebox just didn't sit right as it ended up about 10mm long and made the angle of the dangle look wrong, the height was a little short as well, meh, I wasn't that confident that Version 1 was going to be an instant winner I might give Version 2 another go, there's plenty of aluminium at work, but, after having in on and off a few times, and laying in the old OEM airbox without the new pod filter and MAF, there may be an option to modify the OEM air box and still use the Autoexe front cover and filter.... maybe This >  Needs to fit in here, but using the panel, and not the pod, the MAF will need to fit in the airbox though> I'm thinking as the old OEM box and Autoexe cover that is sitting in the shed is just sitting around doing nothing, and they are relatively abundant and cheap to replace if I mess it up and need another, it may well fit with some modifications to how the Autoexe brackets mounts to the rad support, and some dremiling to move it get in there, should give me some more room for activities, as I don't want to move the MAF and affect the tune Sealing the hole it requires to stick it in the air box is simple, a tight fit and some pinch weld will seal it up tight  I am calling this a later problem though
    • and it ends up being already priced in as though you're just on 91RON without any ethanol. Car will lose a bit of economy as the short and long term fuel trims bring down the AFR back to stoich or whatever it is for cruise/idle for the engine.
