Im more interested if it can be read or nissan cpu can be interfaced first.... If WRX and EVO stock ecu can be tune..... im sure nissan ones could be too

www.openecu.org

So if it can be interfaced, then thats a start.... as for me i just have had the stagea for less then 3 months so excuse me im new to what can and could be done.

Hue, don't take comments the wrong way. Fresh eyes might find a new way of solving the issues! Keep at it, and best of luck to you!

Search through here and you can see what other people have tried, might help a bit. No one has managed to get this working so far here, but the Japanese can do it so it must be possible.

Do you have some kind of electrical engineering background?

That's a good point Ryan. There's got to be maybe a dozen guys that have made pretty big efforts & spent plenty of their time (and money :whistling: ) ringing, emailing, trialling stuff etc to try & find a solution (partial or full) which will benefit everyone. Eventually I'm confident something will work out, maybe even a couple of different options, & who know where the answer will come from?

The more people thinking inside & outside boxes the better IMO.

Umm... they make a loom, so we know the F-con will work on an NM35, the issue is just finding a tuner.

Looking forward to Dust providing a write up of his install, if he's actually got it running.

Seems his MIA.

Seems his MIA.

Strange. He was non stop for a while & had a shopping list the likes I've not seen for someone who's had a car for such a short time. It could just be that he's having so much fun with the new setup that he's got no time to log on. I hope that's the case & not an alternative reason that comes to mind :ermm:

Oh....wait...apparently his some kind of Ninja or kickboxer so maybe his off to the world championships....I feel quite honoured that he wanted to come to sydney to practice on me!!! ROFL.

What???? Joking or did you really tick him off sometime??

What???? Joking or did you really tick him off sometime??

yup......got sick of him whoring up good post's by people posting silly questions non specific to the thread because he was to lazy or to dumb(the later) to do a search.

Have a read http://www.skylinesa...et/page__st__80 ...it's quite funny actually.....I think he want to bash up Aaron as well...lolz!

maybe I was a little harshno.gif

LOL you scared him off....

maybe he was sick of being told to use search

mate I weigh 49kg's and am 5.2"....I'd be lucky to scare off a small dog!

Personally I think he was too simple to find the search button....that's why I renamed him Stupidious!!!...lolz

I leave it now!

That is after an all you can eat banquet of course.

yeh and the day i saw him he was wearing his racing jumpsuit(dont know why - i think he likes to flatter himself)

f**k off you weigh 49kg.. bloody liar

OK.....so I am a little lighter than that......just didn't want to bring up about me getting rolled by a 3rd grader for my lunch recently!

100% Correct, its a Hitachi 64F7055F40

sorry to bring up an old thread.

I understand the ecu chip is a hitachi 64F7055F40 but this chip come in many variants does the chip have any sub letters or numbers printed on it starting with SH or the like.

just putting this here incase someone happens to have an already open ecu and can take a squiz for me pissing down and dark outside so cant get to it myself atm.

im going to take a squiz at this process see if it leads anywhere as there is alot of code involved have to get my head around HEX and main thing being to identify checksums. not looking at flashing or canbus hacking just curious to see whats in there and how it works.

EDIT: Got a bit ahead of myself in posting above statement the hitachi chip is part of the SH7055 family and only has support for bosch CAN 2.0 version. no response required

    • I've got the rear ones, they're certainly beefy. I need to take them to my driveshaft guru to check over, he's very fussy about the quality of components so I'll let you know if they are made of cheese by a blind man.   Are you in Australia? A mate just had a set of EN26 shafts made for his K20 Lotus by our fabricator which were quite cheap (compared to Driveshaft Shop) so if you can procure the CV's and draw what you need he'd make them for ~$800 for the pair.
    • Had I known the diff between R32 and R33 suspension I would have R33 suspension. That ship has sailed so I'm doing my best to replicate a drop spindle without spending $4k on a Billet one.
    • OEM suspension starts to bind as soon as the car gets away from stock height. I locked in the caster and camber before cutting off the kingpin. I then let the upright down in a natural (unbound) state before re-attaching it. Now it moves freely in bump and droop relative to the new ride height. My plan is to add GKTech arms before the car is finished so I can dial camber and caster further. It will be fine. This isn't rocket science. Caster looks good, camber is good, upper arm doesn't cause crazy gain and it is now closer to the stock angle and bump steer checks out. Send it.
    • Pay careful attention to the kinematics of that upper arm. The bloody things don't work properly even on a normal stock height R32. Nissan really screwed the pooch on that one. The fixes have included changing the hole locations on the bracket to change the angle of the inner pivot (which was fairly successful but usually makes it impossible to install or remove the arm without unbolting the bracket from the tower, which sucks) and various swivelling upper arm designs. ALL the swivelling upper arm designs that look like a capital I (with serifs) suck. All of them. Some of them are in fact terribly unsafe. Even the best one of them (the old UAS design) shat itself in short order on my car. The only upper arm that works as advertised and is pretty safe is the GKTech one. But it is high maintenance on a street car. I'm guessing that a 600HP car as (stupidly, IMO) low as you are going is not going to be a regular driver. So the maintenance issues on suspension parts are probably not going to be a problem. But you really must make sure that however your fairly drastically modded suspension ends up, that the upper arms swing through an arc that wants to keep the inner and outer bolts parallel. If the outer end travels through an arc that makes that end's bolt want to skew away from parallel with the inner bolt, you will build up enormous binding and compressing forces in the bushes, chew them out and hate life. The suspension compliance can actually be dominated by the bush binding, not the spring rate! It may be the case that even something like the GKTech arm won't work if your suspension kinematics become too weird, courtesy of all the cut and shut going on. Although you at least say there's no binding now, so maybe you're OK. Seeing as you're in the build phase, you could consider using R33/4 type upper arms (either that actual arm, OEM or aftermarket) or any similar wishbone designed to suit your available space, so alleviate the silliness of the R32 design. Then you can locate your inner pivots to provide the correct kinematics (camber gain on compression, etc).
    • The frontend wouldn't go low enough because the coilover was max low and the upper control arm would collapse into itself and potentially bottom out in the strut tower. I made a brace and cut off the kingpin and then moved the upright down 1.25" and welded. i still have to finish but this gives an idea. Now I can have a normal 3.25" of shock travel and things aren't binding. I'm also dropping the lower arm and tie rod 1.25".
