So is that gospel then? have run a 11.92 previously, hoping to run quicker this time.

Do i need to hook up something or will it get through scrutineering ok?

I wouldnt be to worried about it. Normally at these events you self scrutineer your car anyway. I would just throw a blue triangle on the car just so they know where the islation switch is. I have run an 11.0 and i am meant to have a lot more safety gear in the car than i do have and they have never said anything to me about it. I would be more concerned about an ANDRA licence than the isolation switch. You do have an ANDRA licence dont you? They can probably be purchased on the day but its quite a bit more expensive doing it that way. If you plan on continuing to race the car it would be much cheaper to buy a yearly licence

Bank transfer done.

Emailed entry form.

We may finally have that race Brad (ido09s)

Oh sweet. Will be good to catch up mate and have that long awaited race :nyaanyaa: How did your car go on E85? Did you make much more power? Ours went backwards according to the rollers hehe

Given the event is only a week away and there is only around 30 competitors.... is it going to go ahead or not? Unless the club makes up for the shortfall in costs i thought that WSID had a minimum of 40 cars, max of 50, for these private hires.

It's all in the first post;

4. Club Execs will be at the entry gate from 830am until 10am to hand out tickets. Get there before 10am to get a ticket, we wont stand there all day as we're there to enjoy the day aswel :)

IDO09S, Aaron (1320ft) has made himself available to be there on the day and can issue the ANDRA licences. I am sure he will post in here to answer any questions.

As usual, I wouldn't be surprised if there were a number of last-minute entries and SAU reached the minimum 40 entries. The track day is booked and it's going ahead...unless the track isn't ready

Awesome about Aaron being there  Aaron is pretty fair with running the joint from an ANDRA perspective

I am with you on the track conditions..... have they had a street meet yet to get some rubber down? We might be the first to christen the new surface, which i wont be happy about to be honest :( The new management is doing an awesome job with the place though. Its come ahead in leaps and bounds since the departure of Jim Read

Getting tuned, will find out next week mate :whistling:

Hey fellas, I don't know if WSID will let us run our GoPro's but I have the three for the club up for rent. Is $35 paid on the day. That includes me making DVD copy of the video files and mailing them to you about a week after the event.

PM me for reserving one. First in, best dressed.

I ran mine inside the car and have had no problems.. I Dont think outside the car is allowed..

Entries will be updated shortly, we are closing in on the 40 entrants :)

I always have my gopro hanging from the sunroof inside the car and they havent pulled me up on it so far.

I would like to try it outside the car this time so lets see what they say.

Cars use them on the outside all the time so i doubt they will have any problems with it.

The new management seems to be a bit more laid back than the old management which is good to see as they were pretty hard assed on trivial things previously

If you like Jarrod just send me a PM with all of your details that should be on the form and ill do it for you.. (im thinking you are just using microsoft word viewer not the actual program so you cant edit documents)

This event is absolutely going forward, and it's going to be great :D

There are about 15 spots remaining until we are full, but WSID require us to cut off entries after this weekend.

So get in quickly!

Thats fine, Matt is being paid to cover the event and the agreement I made with him is that he's the only one who will get a Media pass on the day but around the pits or from the stands is no drama.

    • Hi all, Restoring r33 series 1 rb25det. All the heater hoses were on their way out, have replaced them and put it all back together. After testing I noticed a small leak from behind the head on the actual metal water line to the turbo when cars warm. I tried running a longer hose over it but it kept leaking...   I am about to take the (stock) manifold off again😔 to change the water line does any one have any lines they recommend? I was looking at Aeroflow Turbo Oil & Water Line Set but not sure what everyone else recommends. Car is completely stock but want to upgrade turbo eventually. it looks like ill have to disconnect a lot just to replace these lines so if there's anything else recommended to do please let me know. Thank you in advance!
    • From memory, on the R33 GTSt at least, while everyone says "It's not adjustable", I found when I changed clutches in mine, it just needed a small adjustment on the rod length. But be very wary here, as you could end up trying to push the pushrod in the master too far, or blowing out the slave.   Most likely though, if the master/slave isn't bypassing internally or leaking out, then the throw out is the wrong height compared to the fingers on the clutch, so when it moves to disengage the clutch, it isn't 100% disengaged. You can check part of this out too by jacking the car up, having the engine running, put your foot on the clutch and try to engage 1st gear. If it goes in pretty easy (Compared to the ground) and/or the wheels start turning a fair bit and it takes a bit too much brake pedal to bring them back to a stop, this is likely the issue.  I'm not sure if you can adjust the height of the forks etc in these though, it's been that long since I've touched any RB gearbox.
    • That's all good, I thought I was missing some interesting feature! Maybe @PranK can double check if that is something that is meant to be operating or not.
    • I hope that is not something that bad. From what i remember he said that only first gear is "hard" to get in and that he has couple of ideas what to try next but idk 😕  hope it is not gearbox out. I will let you know.
    • If it's not the hydraulics, it is probably gearbox back out. Usually as per @Duncan's post, or otherwise associated with not getting the throwout fork positioned correctly. All the way up to catastrophically bolting shit back together without it being aligned properly and wrecking the clutch/input shaft/flywheel/something else.
