Its only a conservative little 13psi tune through the stock exhaust on 98 pump. Just a nice 'area under the curve thing'. Sled has the dyno graph :)

Just a little tizzy and tidy up then. Probably still more than enough

Torque figures are my area of interest. Driving my old mans 03 ba xr6t again on the weekend was fun. I forgot what it was like! Like wrestling an croc compared when compared to the easeof my 32

hey sled went to willall today for the commodores owners club dyno day mainline is hungry hungry but still delivered on the torque figure which i spose is good did 340 kw but 1087nm torque's had a good old chuckle with dingo and looks like i might in the near future have a looksee at all this zf tuning jargin hes banging on about more than likely ur car will be the first or one of the first to have it done to cant wait to see whats the g..o

did i mention i dont like mainline hahahah thats the weirdest shit tho

the bloke who took out the day bosko(ba f6) reeled off 510rwkw on a d/d then 447rwkw today with a very same torque figure 1088nm i think it was but that would definitely be doing high nm @wheels running 24+psi through a 4litre

Hey Jet, I did expect you to drop below 400 but not a whole 80kw >_<..........that may explain your ET cause 421 should see a 10 ET.

Seems Bosko dropped a similar amount.........I'm guessing you guys had the original power figures taken off Heinrich's dyno, yeah??

Makes me think that if I can get get anywhere near 300kw on Willall's dyno, with a smaller turbo, stock cooler & exh from Cat-back, that'll be lethal enough for a daily

Mine will be on pump gas.........I'm guessing you guys were running E85 again on Willalls?

yeh original were off heinrichs 510-421 and yeh both running e85 as u said if u can reel off a 300 on a mainline its guna cut the mustard nicely. we have done some back to back runs across adelaide hpt vs k.p.m vs southern hi tek but they were all d/d and were showing very ball park figures but the mainline seems to be the differ

we all know the dyno debate but it just seems to be mainline is the most accurate might we say :worship:

Sorry guys, just got home.

Martin I didn't get the print out.......I think you ran out of paper and went looking for some. Can you email me a pdf of it please ([email protected])

Now, as per above past posts, I'm very happy with the tune and considering I'm running a smaller turbo than an F6 and pump fuel, 307kw is pretty much what I was hoping to get.

The beauty about this is that it's still like a stock car to drive around as a daily and not only looks like one under the hood but sounds like a stocker as well.

Even after 60kph, you definitely only want to feed the power in slowly other wise I'm going to have to invest in a Tyre Power franchise........absolutely love the down low grunt.

I'm betting that with another 2 or so (conservative) psi and E85, it'll probably see over 350kw........not bad for a daily Taxi that's very quiet and comfortable.

I'm very happy with the Willall tune and have learnt the hard way now as far as past tunes go; "The poor man always pays twice".....I'll never go anywhere else again.

Thanks again Martin........and for lunch

Good numbers for only 13psi Pete.

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
    • Lock me in mate, although I'm not sure if I'll be heading up from Goulburn or down from Sydney, either way, return will be back to Goulburn
