Interior looks shmick mate. Im still waiting for some nismo belt pads that were ordered months ago. Ive found that they just get in the way anyway and can make the belts retract less easier.

i used to own a towing business and for you to put a car on that trailer the car has to be registered or in our case we used a trade plate you need a light board to hang over the back of the car and the trailer needs rego as well . tbh there a pig of a thing to use and tow with hence the reason im about to start building a couple of car trailers in a few weeks . i might even to a step by step guide with photo's as i go along if that would help anyone else thinking of building one .

cheers dean

Great idea Deano.

Start a new thread on it and we'll make sure it's not whored

yeah mate spot on

i went through regency with some older nissan ones

and yeah he picked up that the belt retracted alot slower

i got the nismo ones right now from a guy on sau for free :3

And now, for something completely different...

I recently got in touch with my inner nerd and decided to learn to fly RC Helicopters... you know, to go fishing, like on the Farmers Union ad

I've owned RC cars in the past, so this time I wanted a real challenge. No point mucking around with the little toy helicopters (although I did buy a couple of them for shits'n' giggles) straight into the single rotor serious stuff. About $250 delivered (plus about the same in extra spares and batteries and tools etc.) and I'm making progress. This is my third attempt ever at hovering/flying.

These things are not easy to fly, trust me! A microsecond is all it takes to lose concentration and write the thing off in a big way!

And here's what I aim to be capable of with a bit more practice, a shit load of practice actually!

What happens when you get it wrong... this is a $400-500 helicopter

Anyone else into RC Helis or tried flying a 4-6 channel single rotor heli?

when i was younger i few RC planes (propper ones, not electric) for ages.. still have a couple. got pretty good at it and thought i'd try a trainer RS nitro heli ( trainer set up has an instructor linked in to your transmitter and can override any time) and man it was so difficult. took me 30 mins just to get it to take off smoothly and another hour trying to hover... i got pretty fustrated with it hahaha

after some advice - what brand sleeping tablets (prescription) work REALLY well??

Im slowly coming off the Fentynal (Durogesic) slow-release 'morphine' pain-patches, as I dont want to be on this shite any longer (would NOT recommend). Really want to be clean/sober/clear-headed for Uni next year.... I defferred this year as I just wasnt able to concentrate, nor was I dealing with the pain very well.

Im pretty sure that the Durogesic has actually been magnifying pain spikes; feeling ok pain-wise 75% of the time over the past 3 weeks wheras the previos 3 years Id be feeling the pain a fair bit.

This stuff is nasty to come off from, leaves you with constant "heebies / skin-crawlies" as essentially my body is addicted to it, as youd expect. Fentynal is a synthetic; Im faily positive synthetics dont mix well with me. Been having a huge battle with severe depression for 18months now at the least. The best thing I can do for myself, to help ensure I dont go topping myself like my hind-brain keeps telling me to dayin dayout, is to get off the damned drug.

Problem is over the past 3 weeks while Ive been cutting doseage down I find I simply cant sleep at night. Every single night I lay awake until 6-7am, then doze a little during the morning (some days Ive been so tired I havent gotten up at all - not good.) Durning the night trying to relax Im very uncomfortable going thru mild withdrawel & just cant sleep.

Pretty much I want to knock myself out at night for a week or so and just get off this horrible drug. Over the counter sleeping tablets (docile, restavit) dont work at all for me. Any opinions? Im very tired and its stressing me out a bit....

tangles i think u need to see ur doc asap u need some help doesnt sound like ur in a good way

pete u got the taxi zf tuned yet? mines been done for a wile now and its very nice when u feel like being a bit ruff with it and even when ur not u can get a very nice 1-2 change with chirp

hey matty do you know any place who makes these sort of trailers i can have a chat too about this?

i was thinking if the trailer rego plate was at the back it would be ok, but would really like to ask the trailer makers

off the top of my head i havent seen anywhere in adelaide that makes them, but itd be worth ringing around

what dean said is right though, even though the trailer is registered the car itself is still making contact with the road, so that has to be registered, and you have to have a light bar of some description (and a way of hanging it / mounting it on the back of the car)

And dont forget your wheels. Plus he did say minus driver LOL. Anyone know weight of s13?

SR20det versions are around 1250kg's, the CA versions are around 1150.

My 180 was 1303kg's with me (110kg's) in the car and a full tank of fuel (~50kg's).

Does pete at nistune have a phone number?

Not that I've been able to find, only an email address.

I feel your pain mate , try this

melotonin tablets, natural brain chemical that you loose as you get older and no side effects , most health shops have em for about 10 bucks. useful for long haul flights too. less jet lag

KAVA - KAVA tea, a strong batch mixed with regular black tea(or your favorite tea/coffee) and camomile tea. kava alone taste like tree root and looks like mud. makes your tougue numb for 20 seconds , but after 1 decent cup of tea and you will chillout mentally , you wont feel it kick in but it will relax you enough for sleep in about 20-30 min without nasty anti depression drugs or valuim side effects

just use care not to mix kava with pain killers or asprin. its been used for 10,000 years by natives so dont buy into the hype its toxic . the reported death was somone who mixed a bucket load of panadol with it.

dont booze with it. either.

doesnt leave you hung over the next day either, like pills

if you use a coffee filter to pour the just under boiled water (boiled water is actually burned ) thru you can avoid the twigs in it..lol

available from happy herbs on bank st near maccas, last time I found it. , get the tonga bag for about 20 bucks

fish oil with DHEA omega 3,

glucosamine with chondrotin in it. helps the pain and inflamation without side effects , works great after about 2 weeks of use . like oiling you joints up ..lol

fish oil helps clear your head too.

anything positive you can muster in the day is a help and anything physical you can must will increase your endophines , which will motivate you and make you tired at days end.

cold weather sucks the life out of you.. but sit in the sun 10 min a day , helps the vit. D in your system .

go to the beach and suck in some fresh air (positive ions). close your eyes for 5 min to listen to the waves . think of nothing beside the noise of waves

go to a comedy show and laugh your ass off. till your guts hurt

if your into it meditation helps, I have a good cd that teaches you micro meditation to de- stress only takes less then a min. not a magic fix but it all beats pills and the shite side effects on and off them

hope that helps Brendan ?

Brendan this will give you something to read OBVIOUSLY i am NOT a Doctor so please see one ASAP

i don't recommend long treatment but a couple -few weeks should be enough to get you off the morph patches

>>Oxazepam<<

again i cant stress enough to see a doctor (not like you can get these without him) and get a dosage regime and a gradual dose reduction regime.

    • You're not the first person that's said that about this car lol. A Touring wagon GT in Spark yellow mica would be the dog's danglies 😆 I will keep an eye out for a future purchase for sure. The seats are almost like the OEM Recaros... electric adjustment for fore/aft and tilt movements except reclining.
    • Yes!! I love these! It's a shame its not the wagon though!   Thank everything that's holy that it doesn't have the interior of the Aussie delivered ones. Those seats are so much nicer.
    • I'm both sorry and thankful that you do that.
    • 2001 BE5D Subaru Legacy B4 RSK (3rd gen) EJ208 (pink injector) Twin Turbo 280PS 5-speed manual Full time 4WD "RSK" grade which means all of the above LQC option which means stock rear spoiler  I got it primarily to export to someone outside Japan who was interested. These BE5 Legacy B4 RSKs are going through a bit of a resurgence right know in Japan as they are one of the few cars from the "turbo, manual, RWD/4WD, 280hp gentleman's agreement era" cars that don't require stupid money to purchase. Which for some people might be a good opportunity to get as a base for restoration. If I can't find anyone to purchase it I will certainly be doing that myself over the long term. Why? Because it's properly fast in stock form, handles well enough for a GT sedan, there's still enough aftermarket and (if you can wait a while) genuine part support to make it a restoration candidate (<-- that will only get worse over time so it's a case of do it now or choose get a BL5 4th Gen). Mechanically it's fine, has only 89,200kms on the odometer. The problem with this car is that the body and exterior trims are weathered from at least the last 10 years being parked outdoors. I'm the 3rd owner, the first owner was the one that had it for 14 years and barely drove it, had a low-speed front impact (which didn't damage anything behind the radiator support) and got it fixed and sold it. The 2nd owner put most of the kms on it and parked it outside for the last 10 years, hence the door rubbers have seen better days but if you overlook those cosmetic details, it presents pretty nicely. There is some minor rust on the LH rear wheel arch which I'll have looked at too at some stage.  Also as you'd expect from a car this age, the clear top coat is gone, leaving a satin finish on the roof.  Mechanically it's fine (as you would expect from a car with less than 100K kms) but the steering does feel slightly vague around the centre position at higher speeds. So first on the list is to get the steering rack bushes looked at. There's also the Lock button on the remote which doesn't work, but the Open button does.... it means that the anti-theft system thinks it's always open? It seems like if you open the car and don't start the engine within 3 mins or so the anti-theft kicks in again without any beeps or signals. So if you got to start it after that, it won't. You have to push the open button again. That's how I understand it anyway. Just a small irritation but not a big problem to sort out. There's only one mod, the Wangan SPL muffler. Just a tad louder than stock. It's a really good mod for those who don't want to wake the neighbours but still want to hear a more prominent unequal length header EJ20 sound. Anyway I hope to get all those things done eventually, that is unless someone wanted to import it to their country from Japan (where I live). I'm open for negotiations as I really would like a Skyline... but this will definitely suffice in the meantime 🙂 *Disclaimer: This is how I picked it up from the dealer, minus the stuff on the back seat. I haven't cleaned the engine bay or done a thorough exterior clean, aside from spray painting the wipers.
    • Wow, even with the Audi logo centre caps. I love OEM wheel mismatches.
