Birds is right. It's not so difficult to rectify. Candida Albicans resides in all of us - but in the colon. Broad spectrum antibiotics are the most common cause of decimating good friendly bacteria in the gut and small intestine thus allowing the Candida to invade the upper alimentary system. From there, by eating foods that make the Candida multiply; it crosses the mucosal lining and hence into the blood stream. Then it looks for the weakest link in your body and lodge into warm moist areas of one's body.

The fungal yeast organism is NOT pathogenic, so it cannot kill the host.

Four Stage Sequence :-

1) To eradicate the Candida which has gone systemic by...

* Neem 500mg capsules. One 3x a day about 15mins before meals

* Bactrex capsules. One 2x a day anytime.

* Pau D'Arco capsules. One 3x a day at start of meals.

Carry out at least two of the above if you can and symptoms in your gut and skin tend to take a turn for the better within a fortnight.

2) To Starve/Manage the Candida by abstaining from foods that feed fermentation...

NO to wine, beer, bread (unless yeast free or toasted to crisp), buns/burgers, sugar, sugared foods and drinks (unless not sweet to the taste), sugared cereals, pizza, smallgoods, hard cheeses, dried fruit with sulphur dioxide preservatives, chlorinated swimming pools, bleach,...

And wear cotton underwear.

3) To Replenish Good Bacteria aka Probiotics :-

* Polybac 8 capsules. Take one 2x a day before food for a couple of bottles. This is much stronger than Inner Health Plus.

* Maintenance with either Multiflora or Inner Health Plus. One a day - especially if your house gets musty/mouldy.

* Air out your house as much as possible. Just because it's winter, don't close it up. Do your leather clothes/shoes attract a fine dust?

4) To Confine the Candida Back Through the Large Intestine to The Bowel:-

* Echinacea and Garlic capsules in winter eg Echinatol brand. Two tablets 2x a day after food

* Coenzyme Q10 100mg. One capsule a day anytime in summer.

Carry out 1) and 2) now.

Carry out 3) a week after commencing 1) and 2). Don't worry about overlapping

Carry out 4) a fortnight after commencing 1) and 2) even though it'll be Spring.

Improvements should be apparent within a fortnight. All the best.

Wow that's extensive and comprehensive - wish I had that guide when I had a Candida overrun - might have shortened the process for me.

Taking erythromycin (should be banned) killed all the good bacteria in my stomach. Left me fked. Candida makes you very tired/lethargic when you have the overrun. Not sure how accurate their information is, but some of those forums postulate it's from the toxins they release when they digest sugar and carbohydrates in your body.

Whether they're correct or not, humans searching for a cure will try almost anything = sometimes dangerous and costly practices. Nothing drives someone to succeed like an ailment! Even energy sapping candida overrun!

I managed to overcome mine by a strict diet of steak and broccoli. I was also taking probiotics, choc probiotic balls and yakult every day. It was tough sticking to this but I started feeling better after a week or two (candida had been with me for 2 months). I'd like to think this diet helped, but like so many alternative medicines you can never be 100% that time and the body's natural healing didn't help - osteos thrive on this!

Birds, I Googled candida and the first images I got where poop photos. Wow, I was not prepared for that. Ones with candida issues seem to have a high carb and high sugar diet, of which I have been avoiding for close to 15 years. My stool looks good, my spit looks good, I don't have white spot patterns in my mouth. My scrotum fungus probably is from long hours at work and it gets pretty humid, both down there and my surroundings. Jock itch.

Thanks Terry, you're a wealth of knowledge and you take the time to answer our questions. I'll definitely be coming to this thread more often.

Hey Terry,

You are a wealth of knowledge & I wonder what type of medicine principles you specialise in?

Also, are there any of you in Melbourne? Have some need....

I'm a Psychopharmacologist Ned. I deal with Psych conditions emanating from deficiencies, allergies, sensitivity and toxicology. I'm supposed to be retired but there are brain chemistry problems out there caused by illicit drugs nowadays. And their parents are pulling their hair out. So pathetic.

That is seriously bad ass - a superhero-like story!

Vigilante psychopharmacologist comes out of retirement to fight back against a new threat to brain chemistry...

When parents are out of options...

When hormones run amok...

When benzodiazepines just don't do it for you anymore...

Call...Terry...

"Irony" Definition:- Whilst driving to a housecall I suffer a fatal head-on with a driver on drugs.

I might be paranoid but that doesn't mean there's no-one watching me!

E.Coli :- Mutated strain found in hogs in China

To-day's announcement says that this strain is now deemed resistant to the strongest of all antibiotics.

This strain is predicted to spread worldwide within a year or so.

I would interpret this as a warning.

Suppose we should only eat cooked pork then...... Never liked raw meat tbh.

  • 1 month later...

Diagnosed with Aeromonas species bacterium today.

Been unwell for nearly two weeks, but apparently this bacterium is immune to antibiotics. Stomach cramps have subsided but I still have a general unwell feeling.

If anyone has any tips for feeling better I would appreciate it! Trying to drink as much water as possible, but eating/drinking makes me feel unwell. My stomach doesn't like fruit at the moment either.

    • Slimline sub on the rear parcel shelf is doable. Pioneer TS-WX140DA is only 70mm high.
    • People like Johnny Dose Bro might be laughing at my post because I accidentally added 100mm to my numbers. 350-355 is indeed the lower limit. 450 is off-road Skyline spec.
    • What is the "compromise" that you think will happen? Are you thinking that something will get damaged? The only things you have to be concerned about with spherical jointed suspension arms are; Arguments with the constabulary wrt their legality (they are likely to be illegal for road use without an engineering certificatation, and that may not be possible to obtain). A lot more NVH transmitted through to the passengers (which is hardly a concern for those with a preference for good handling, anyway). Greatly increased inspection and maintenance requirements (see above points, both).   It is extremely necessary to ask what car you are talking about. Your discussion on strut tops, for example, would be completely wrong for an R chassis, but be correct for an S chassis. R32s have specific problems that R33/4 do not have. Etc. I have hardened rubber bushes on upper rear control arms and traction rods. Adjustable length so as to be able to set both camber and bump steer. You cannot contemplate doing just the control arms and not the traction arms. And whatever bushing you have in one you should have in the other so that they have similar characteristics. Otherwise you can get increased oddness of behaviour as one bushing flexes and the other doesn't, changing the alignment between them. I have stock lower rear arms with urethane bushes. I may make changes here, these are are driven by the R32's geometry problems, so I won't discuss them here unless it proves necessary. I have spherical joints in the front caster rods. I have experienced absolutely no negatives and only positives from doing so. They are massively better than any other option. I have sphericals in the FUCAs, but this is driven largely by the (again) R32 specific problems with the motion of those arms. I just have to deal with the increased maintenance required. Given how much better the front end behaves with the sphericals in there.....I'd probably be tempted to go away from my preference (which is not to have sphericals on a road car, for 2 of the 3 reasons in the bulleted list above), just to gain those improvements. And so my preference for not using sphericals (in general) on a road car should be obvious. I use them judiciously, though, as required to solve particular problems.
    • Easiest way to know is to break out the multimeter and measure it when cold, then measure all the resistances again once it gets hot enough to misfire. Both the original ignitor and the J Replace version. Factory service manual will have the spec for the terminal measurements.
    • Yes that sounds right. Cars currently in the shop for the engine work. Will need to remeasure .. but yes I think I must be targeting 45cm from fender.
