I dont see the appeal of Euro cars, there basically worse then any jap car but are twice the price. Its stupid how people think 'oh my car cost $500k so its better and I now am super cool', in actual fact its, 'oh wait i could have bought a car for 1/4 of the price, look better, handle better and not look like a tosser'. We have a Lambo gallardo at work at the moment and everyone said it was shit haha

I know a guy my age who bought a R8 and I just lol'd and so did most of the people that know him.

The fact is any euro will fall apart within 10 years when a jap car will still be considered new at that age, I still consider r34's pretty new, but you look at a 2000 Audi wtf lol

Porche are a bit different IMO as they actually make there cars for the drivers as apposed to the mass made VW's and Audi's.

yeah carrera GT is ok...for a girls car (it's convertible after all so can never be that hardcore). their V10 is a piece of gear though. but still give me a maclaren F1 over that, or a Merc CLK GTR road version pls.

see what I mean about everyhing good from the 80s/90s. imagine tootling down to the maccas drive through in this bad more. more to the point I like to imagine rocking up to the nurburgring entry drive through in it...

or if we want to talk nissan then give me an R390 road car. oh baby.

huge price difference bw a mac f1 and c gt - so yep give me a mac f1 too

the c gt is a modern day classic, porsche wont (if ever) do another supercar like that for a while, there is nolonger a market for it

it's a car to hang on to

being a convertible is irrelevant if the car was designed structurally from the ground up to be a roadster. But yes, chop the roof off a focus and im with ya on the hardcore thing

agreed a big part of the appeal with super expensive euro cars is the wank factor

can no doubt account for 90% of new gallardo and f430/458 sales

but there are still car enthusiasts out there that have a mix of old and new in their collection and buy for the pedigree, history, engineering etc, some even see value in the mix of high quality leather, alcantara, carbon etc that jdm cars just dont have - the R35 has a vinyl dash and seats for 180K, when i jump into a more expensive euro it actually does feel more expensive

ive never been a fan of the r8, in either v8 or v10 guise, the looks are all personal opinion, but more importantly for me, audi's just never had that same allure or passion as the raging bull or prancing horse. it's a supercar on paper only

Your WRONG Marlin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Holden is much better at being a Super car than a Ford. Ford is just plain old shit that still uses leaf spring suspension which reminds me of a cart pulled by donkeys in a village :)

I agree.... You have to realise though the general public frown on fast cars, but if you drive something stupidly expensive your an exception and bishes will want to eat "da poo poo"

Fwiw, the last good looking ferrari was the F355. The 458 looks like a Peugeot on roids, with sticky outy tail lights..

If I wanted a stupid quick car, I'd just buy a 32GTR and spend crazy amounts of money on it... If i buy a "supercar", its to stand out, the driving experience etc.

yeah the jag is hot. would look good next to my CLK GTR I reckon.

I also like the renault turbo 2. would love a nice one as a keeper.

seriously, what good has come out of the car world since the year 2000? practically nothin! 80s and 90s are where it's at. get me a hypercolour t-shirt and a stick on some quality 80s tunes and I'm sorted.

yeah baby!

80's and 90's ya say, easily my favorite era........ This was bad though. A shame! (do you know what it's from?)

Whilst this had such great promise, even Schumacher had one, albeit in a truly appalling colour combo of blue/yellow from memory, but alas, as with many things in that era......

    • So stock ECU does not like anything above 10 psi?  That Nistune one is just for "try" if it will be any different, I know it need to be tune for that. I know but YOU may know about these problem but i/we dont. They few little Skylines here let alone people who know anything about tham so that is why iam asking here
    • So now we have a radiator with no attachments whatsoever. It lifts up with a particularly tight spot between the drivers side air box mount and the lower radiator outlet, but if you've got this far you will sort that too. This is the lower mounts with the rad out so you can see where the rubber bushes go, it is a straight shot upwards Done! Assembly is the reverse of disassembly, with blood less likely to be shed.
    • Right, onto the second last trick. The Air Con condenser is mounted to the front of the radiator and stays in the car when the radiator is removed. There are 2x 10mm headed self tappers holding the top of the condenser to the radiator, remove those The bottom of the condenser is attached to the radiator with clips. You need to lift the condenser out of those clips and clear (up, then forward). f**ked if  could work out how to do that last bit with the front bumper on. I hope you can, and you share the trick.  Bumper removal probably deserves its own thread one day once I've recovered the will to live, but basically you need to remove the wheels, front inner guard liners (clips and 10mm headed bolts), the self tapper between the guard and the bumper at the rearmost point of the bumper (same as an R32 that bit), any remaining clips at the top/front of the grill, an absolute bastard design with a plate that holds the top of the bumper above the headlight each side (only 1 bolt which is tricky to get to, but the plate catches 2 places on the bumper and must be removed....carefully!) and push clips between the bumper and guard under the headlight. If you've done all that you will be faced with wiring for the fog lights on both sides and in ADM Q50 RS at least, 4 nasty tight plugs on the driver's side for the ADAS stuff. So, the clips at the bottom look like this on drivers side (looking from the front) And on the passenger side (also from the front), you can see this one is already out Clearance on both of these are super tight; the condenser needs to move up but the upper rad support mount prevents that, and the radiator can't move down far because it is (rubber) mounted. Once you achieve the impossible and drop the condenser off those mounts so it does not stop the rad moving, you are good to go
    • OK, next the shroud needs to come off and there are a couple of tricks. Firstly, there is a loom from near the passenger side headlight to the fans, coolant temp sensor etc and there is no plug to undo.  In my case I was OK to leave the shroud on top of the engine so I just undid the passenger side fan plug and about 10 of the clips which gave enough free wire to put it aside. The fan plugs were super tight, the trick I used was a small falt screwdriver to push down on the release tab, then a larger flat screwdriver to lever the plug out of the fan unit....be careful with how much force you apply! If you need to remove the shroud altogether for some reason you will have to deal with all the plugs (tight) and clips (brittle)....good luck. I removed all of the clips and replaced them with cable ties that I will just cut next time. Also, in the Red Sport / 400R at least, the intake heat exchanger reservoir hose is bolted to the shroud in 2 places with 10mm headed bolts; so remove them (the hose stays in the car; no need to undo it at the t fittings down at the radiator lower mount. Once you've dealt with the HX hose and the wiring loom, there are 3x 10mm headed self tappers holding the top of the shroud to the radiator; remove those.   The shroud then lifts out of the bottom mounts where it sits on the radiator, up and onto the engine out of the way. Simples
    • Ok, disregard my “rate them” comment, sorry for my unrealistic input
