you tried these guys for DS2500s DJR? http://www.zeckhausen.com/Brembo/GT1_Pads.htm

pad choice for F40/F50s is probably second to none. all the euro stuff is available, so is the US stuff and even the japanese stuff is all made in F40/F50 pad shapes.

as far as the cool kids go, they most often mistake my F50s with 355mm rotors for stock R33 brembos... lol definitely no cred, especially since they fit under my 17inch LMGT4s...

From zeckhausen

The 16mm FDSR3028 w/o sensor slot is no longer available in the USA and possibly Europe, but the 16mm thick version with the sensor slot is available. I'm checking to see if it's sitting in the USA or if it has to be ordered from Italy.

Meanwhile, I've added the 16mm thick pads to our part numbering system with a "-1" extension to differentiate from the 18mm thick pads. See: http://store.zeckhausen.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=82_85

Will let you know about availability shortly.

For some reason, the thinner 16mm DS2500 is more expensive than the 18mm version, however the pricing is reversed with the DS3000, with the 16mm version being cheaper. Odd.

Then:

I just heard back from Essex - the importer of Ferodo into the USA. They state the FDSR3028H is not available and they do not stock the FRP3028H. It would have to be special ordered from Italy with a lead time of about 8 weeks.

I think I'm going to buy a set of the project MU titan HC for my F50s. yes they are 18mm but they list them as suitable for front calipers. maybe F40 to F40 is slightly different width? for $179USD I think they are pretty keenly priced.

Well let us know how you get on. Are they a new pad because I cant remember Project Mu doing something with that working temperature range. Local price is $444. Ow.

I think I will order the 16mm pads (and wait a bit) then check them with a 2mm spacer.

fk me dead. $444 is harsh. I thought $178 was cheap but was thinking more like $300-$350 retail. :( will let you know. if it comes to it I'll need to spend some time grinding the bastards down... :(

yes. 400 for little 16mm pads is horific. just think, 2 pad changes and youve almost bought a set of forged monoblock race calipers with titanium pistons.. fyi using evo pads in the f40/50 caliper lowers/widends the contact area buy about 10mm. but they are thinner.

Have you tried PFC06? They are a nice bitey pad, but in my car I struggle with locking brakes with them. I am abotu to bin them for some RS4-2. Much lower bite nad friction coefficient. I think some of the high u pads are for non boosted brakes etc

    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
