I'm stoked, I got a 14.507 @ 91.6mph on low boost (9psi) in the morning with a fair bit of knock due to the heat (it was already close to 30degC at around 10.15am). This was my second run, and I've never dragged before.

In the arvo with the cooler weather, I did a few more runs in low boost to check for knock, then went for it in high (12psi) and got my best run of a 13.817 @ 95.23mph on my second last run.

Not bad for an RB25DET Stagea with minimal mods (full exhaust, return-feed FMIC, PowerFC, EBC and fuel pump) running an otherwise standard engine and turbo. I wish I'd remembered to check the weight during scruitineering, but it would quite easily top 1700kgs.

Massive thanks to all the SAU-NSW Exec crew (Eric, Dave, Duncan, Liz, Shell, Steve-O, etc.) and our volunteer support network (BenM, Sean, Mitch, etc.) for putting this together.

Also thanks to our very own Tats for the commentary throughout the day, he sounded much more professional than I did over the PA system

Funnist moment in there-

Me " just a little lower Louise"

Bahahaha. I still find that funny!! Lol

Thanks to all for a great day, well run.

Only had eleven runs due to the heat, car run like a swiss watch all day, worst run was my first with a 12.7, best was a 11.3.

took plenty of pics and vid, will post up later.

BIG Thanks to Dave and the SAU team for hosting such a great day cant wait till the next 1(if i can come again)

Ran 11.4 on the fist run on low boost then 11.7 on the 2nd but the block split half track witch ended my day

Highlight off the day was watching the silver Skyline with the Microtech sticker on the side off it running a 12 at 130mph this thing was sideways from the start to the finish line he must have big balls to drive something like that

Thanks again Todd (Black Dato 1600)

Was a great day me and my wife were there for the nissansilvia.com drifting,

But we spent half our time watching the drags, one of the best days out we've had in a while

I thought I saw you out there, but wasn't sure if it was. You were both wearing black?

Thanks to SAU:NSW for organising a great event, shame the car called it quits just before lunch (silver 1600).

Had 4 and a half runs, best was the very first one of 11.6 @ 123mph 1.8 60ft

Best mph was 125

Awesome to be able for have 4 runs within an hour, compared to 1 run per hour on Wednesday nights.

Picture of snapped cv spline.

Aww really you should have said hi, yeah that was us, I don't own anything that's not black, I was there with my new 200sx Im considering buying a track only s13 or r32 for drifting now

Nice one Pete :) I better pull my finger out and run a decent number in the 200 or your going to catch and pass me :D

Not likely mate. 2 second 60fters for the rest of the runs

Speaking of Pro street towing......Joe towed me back home after I broke my cv - nice guy to come out on a nice Sunday afternoon

I hear from him the car is back at UE for the injectors - had mind put in an tuned on the Thursday night.

    • Nope.    Grab a varex and turn it down as you get close to home, win win?
    • So, I've had my V36 for about a month now and have already copped an "excessive exhaust noise" notification from QLD TMR, reported by someone in my local area. It's a twin as per the original, and can have a bit of a throaty note to it when idling cold 😄 and if I do get up it a bit, it can be noisy, but it did pass a roadworthy inspection before sale, so.... ... but in the interest of being a good neighbour, I do want to quieten it down a bit. Is anyone here running a quiet aftermarket cat-back on their V36 or 370Z? And the big, bold question: does an aftermarket cat-back really make much of a performance difference on these cars?
    • The wiring diagram for the R33 RB25 is freely available, and is essentially the same same as most other RBs (just with differences as to which pin # does which job). To get the ECU to power up, you just need to provide power to the ECCS relay, and have the other power feeds that come in from the top left of the wiring diagram (wrt the ECU) that give perma power to the fuel pump relay, the ECU itself, etc etc, all connected. When you put power on all these it will just come to life. It's pretty clear from the diagram what needs to happen. Just follow the lines from the 12V + supply stuff in the top left over towards the ECU. I've even posted snips of such diagrams (not for vanilla 25, I think for Neo and 26) to various threads here in the last few months, talking about what it takes to get the fuel pump and FPCM up and going. Search these up and they will help get you started on doing the same with the vanilla 25 diagram. Hell, for all I know, I've done the same with that one in years past and have forgotten.
    • Yep...so unless someone posts up the answer you will need to probe from the ECU connector to the dash plug with a multi meter in continuity mode to trace the wires.  Note the ECU has multiple - and + (and across different key settings - Battery, IGN and Start) and most likely the power is fed from the connector(s) that is normally near the left hand headlight.
    • Thanks Duncan, I am actually just trying to get the Rb turning and running with the RB25DET S2 original loom itself  I am just trying to get it going outside the body and not thinking about the S15 or trying to match anything to the S15 loom at all I am only trying to see if anyone has done this and what pin they found to be the ignition trigger and ECU+/- on the dash connector, that's about it. Thanks
