Just a couple of Nissan/Skyline pics from the last two weeks. I'm also putting more pics in the R32 and R34 threads!

I've got heaps of shots of heaps of other cars, but I'm not sure if I should stick to just Nissan/Skyline, or if others are welcomed in this thread =P

not sure if this counts as arty enough but pull out the camera when im out and about so might contribute in here now and then, have no idea about composition, rule of thirds or have any idea what 'fill' is but hopefully can pull off some lucky prettiness.

anyway which is the better shot? im thinking the second one for context..

I lost my bike messenger job so dont head into the city at all any more. It's over an hour away (3 if i ride, lol)

but... applied for a commercial cleaning position with a company that specializes in working at heights.

if all goes well i'll have access to some crazy views in future and if things go to plan i'll be able to look into specializing in photography at heights.

Good luck Jay.

Hope you can score something that involves an outside elevator platform / carriage thing. Should be able to get some brilliant shots

Just make sure you've got a good hold of your camera...

On a side note, took this the other day; wanted a front-on shot for my wallpaper.

Good stuff Tom

Sidd - classy :)

Pat - nice one mate. Maybe a bit of a crop... and some blur (higher aperture) for the background with your second one, to give the subject (Johnnie walkers in a pram???) more impact?

feel free to post up whatever u want in the monthly threads Tommo.

I didn't even notice the bottles of Johnny til they were pointed out.

Nice front shot matty, looks like u found the sweet spot for detail on a black car. radness. You can tell your mum you now qualify as a professional photographer just like me ;) heh

Haha thanks mate. That ability has come from prolonged staring at a black car on an A2-sized poster on my bedroom wall :turned:

Haha awesome pics all round.

Jay that pic looks movie quality.

And Sidd as if random... I looked at that photo for minutes... literally!

Love the 34 mate.

Went to the coast on the weekend, took a few snaps.

i just have a sony TX5 and soon to upgrade to a better one, possibly with aperture settings, not a clue how to photoshop so it might have to be done in situ. up for the ghost house/industrial area stalking in sydney if anyone ever does that. love abandoned sites!

yeah re johhnny walker, its what caught my attention in the first place, very Redfern!

Jay that pic looks movie quality.

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
