All round 20% brah? Looks good! (Also, I was considering an EK hatch for the longest time! Or a EJ8 (as EM1's out of price range). Then went out and checked some bb6's instead, since they're mad. Was so close to buying one. ... then yeah. Bought a skyline. LOLOL).

Thinking I should keep it legal (35%) on each side window + rear... but then 20% or something on the rear quarters (and pass it off as privacy glass... I wish mine just came with that sigh!)

Yeah that's why i was thinking of keeping the doors legal. and then the quarters let less light in = darker interior = makes 35% window even more effective?! :P.

So many things to do, so little time and $$.

Sometimes I wish I had purchased the BB6 though. Leather, cruise control, already had sound system, less insurance, similar/less petrol, dohc vtak...

Yeah sometimes I wonder why bought the skyrine! But then there are funtimes in the line and everything is forgotten. Until I remember ^those things that are missing... xD. Rinse, repeat.

Was drizzling on way to/from work around 12-5 if that helps. But looked like some harder rain before that

BB6 was the whole package imo. But dat ass was ugly. And it was so hard to find a manual one in good cond.

550-600kms to a 40L tank. Come at me :P

Kinda glad I settled with a civic. Cheap cheap. Getting closer and closer to a go kart too :D

Haha, you start warming up to it! My mate has one, I learnt a fair bit of manual in it, so nice! Although his is quite modded. I didn't even go inspect unless they were manual brahs.

Don't have to dig it in :(. Could even deal with this crappy economy if my car was at least turbo, at least it'd be somewhat quick! If even after all this my car makes me smile, well then, if I could have a turbo one... life would be so good :(. Then I think of selling, and joining the trend of not owning a skyline xD. But then I'm like... hmm... time to throw some money (i.e. exhaust, sound) zzz.

Keep it man, you'll probably regret selling it. Haha.

Civics are fairly overpriced for what it is. Fairly reliable if you find a good example (pleanty out there) they will last forever. Parts are real easy to find. probably the most supported car out there (iunno how to explain it, but nearly every part is readily available, new or second hand) wreckers, ebay and ozhonda.

But i'd just go for an excel if you wanted just a car. Haha

Blue came with the bike. Might get red down the track for a change but I've seen it before on R1s and it looks a little tacky + slightly more illegal than blue.

why not get xenon white, they look good... ask Jonoe I gave him some parkers for his civic

    • Wife wanted basket things in the wardrobe in our temporary house. Thought about ripping our the wardrobe and fitting the entire IKEA set, but it's a temporary house and we want to move in a few years. So IKEA advertises this as a 50cm unit, however the actually basket and rails measure 46cm wide. Only issue was depth, IKEA stuff is quite deep, where as the builder special junk is super shallow at less than 40cm. Send it, chopped the rails, then offset the mounting holes, job done, happy wife, less shit scattered all over the bedroom. Did the same to the other side too. Also drove the Skyline shit box today, dropped off oil at Supercheap Auto. I didn't realise they only now take max 2x bottles per visit. I visited 2x Supercheap Autos.
    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
