Ye the McLaren is clearly the faster car at this point.

Lots of work for the teams now and will be interesting to see what happens in Malaysia. Although don't expect much improvements for a few rounds i would think

Except maybe Ferrari. The engineers were very open about their expectation of not being super competitive with the brand new car, so 5th is a stellar effort and should improve

Jenson has come a long way and deserves every bit of the success he is currently achieving, all the while having a good attitude.

Webber looks alot more comfortable this year.

Hopefully Vettel manages to find the sand trap more often.

Schumacher looking good.

Quite a good start to the season.

If Webber can't have it, would like to see Button go for a second WDC.

Cool story bro etc.

I'm not entirely convinced that Ferrari are ahead of the Torro/Williams/Sauber pack.

And I think it's because they are closer to the pack more so than Ferrari are further behind.

The race pace of Pasta was impressive - he had several mid race fastest laps and fastest sector times. Always at the top of the Speed traps too. It'd have been real interesting to see what pace he could have run at if he'd found a way past Alonzo. Real shame he binned it.

But was good for F1's to see the Williams so competitive though. Hope they can keep it up.

What would have been real interesting is an old head in the Williams. I cant help but wonder if Rubens would have got a great result for the team yesterday. A top 4 finish. I dont think Rubens will always be the better bet, but in the more chaotic races where you just have to keep punting and watch those fall off the track, Rubens has always been able to come through, especially in the lowly Honda days.

But I think Senna and Pastor are solid enough that if they are really any good they will raise to the occasion. Feelk sprry for Pastor yesterday but it was a 1st year Rookie mistake... he better not make too many more of them in 2012. Not if the Williams is as quick as it looks

We need Massa back at the front crashing into Hamilton to make sure the WCC is at least interesting this year :P

Loved how loose a lot of the cars are and am really hoping that there are a couple of wet races this year to really sort the men out from the boys.

Seems the stewards this year are going to allow a bit of biff and barge which should make it interesting.

narh, i doubt Ruben would've made a difference, he is well and truly past his use by date.

even tho i love schumacher, but sadly, i say the same to him as well.

Shame we arent using the same F1 predictions game from last year, already one round in and the other one was way more fun.

yeah the one lastyear was better, we can win prizes on this one tho and we're currently in 10th

i forgot to put all my tips in. lol

loads of catching up to do!

    • Then, shorten them by 1cm, drop the car back down and have a visual look (or even better, use a spirit level across the wheel to see if you have less camber than before. You still want something like 1.5 for road use. Alternatively, if you have adjustable rear ride height (I assume you do if you have extreme camber wear), raise the suspension back to standard height until you can get it all aligned properly. Finally, keep in mind that wear on the inside of the tyre can be for incorrect toe, not just camber
    • I know I have to get a wheel alignment but until then I just need to bring the rear tyres in a bit they're wearing to the belt on the inside and brand new on the outside edge. I did shorten the arms a bit but got it wrong now after a few klms the Slip and VDC lights come on. I'd just like to get it to a point where I can drive for another week or two before getting an alignment. I've had to pay a lot of other stuff recently so doing it myself is my only option
    • You just need a wheel alignment after, so just set them to the same as current and drive to the shop. As there are 2 upper links it may also be worth adding adjustable upper front links at the same time; these reduce bump steer when you move the camber (note that setting those correctly takes a lot longer as you have to recheck the camber at each length of the toe arm, through a range of movement, so you could just ignore that unless the handling becomes unpredictable)
    • I got adjustable after market rear camber arm to replace the stock one's because got sick of having to buy new rear tyres every few months. Can anyone please let me know what the best adjustment length would be. I don't have the old ones anymore to get measurements. I'm guessing the stock measurement minus a few mm would do it. Please any help on replacing them would be fantastic I've watched the YouTube clips but no-one talks about how long to set the camber arm to.
    • Heh. I copied the link to the video direct, instead of the thread I mentioned. But the video is the main value content anyway. Otherwise, yes, in Europe, surely you'd be expected to buy local. Being whichever flavour of Michelin, Continental or Pirelli suits your usage model.
