jake32: cheers for that! i've been wanting that exact info - much appreciated.

i had my first bid today at the auctions. Limit of 1.1million, and was killed. Sold for 1.54 - Admitedly (sp?) it was a very nice car. 1998, 31000km's. Nismo kit, exhaust, a few scratches, grade 4, interior grade B. I think i was pushing it for 1.1 million.

Can't say those list of prices over the past 3 months has got me very happy :D I had a limit of about 1.01million, but decided to up it to 1.1 - looks like i'll have to go up again. :D I've been giving some ambigious info me thinks :)

Was this all from one auction yard jake32? or was it all over?

cheers

list is compiled from sales data from all aution house`s across japan....prices do vary from area to area but not much..auction house grading systems also vary ..some are very strict & harsh on cars they grade other`s not so...so beware of that as well.. as far as your bidding price goes i think 1.2 fob should buy a nice manual 60-70k`s so 1.1 bid should get you something.....

at the same time if your going thru the hassle of bringing in you own car ..make sure its the 1 you want..it may be worth going the extra for the nismo kit etc...if you see the car with your name on it ...bid enough to buy it

:) you can bid to steal 1 but it become`s frustrating after awhile

your also getting towards r33 gtr money as well : 95 v spec grade 4 120000klm` sold for 1.3 last week :D

Your treading on thin ice there: I would own an S15 over an R34 any single day of the week. The r34 is a very tame and boring sedan compared to the sporty S15, (stock to stock) have you driven both? I have. This is personal preference of course, but you can't go and say they are 'far nicer cars' I prefer the interior, the seats, the suspension and the road feel on the S15 as well.

I would take a silvia over skyline gtst on all models.. r32 vs s13, r33 vs s14, r34 vs s15

I have thoroughly driven or owned every single car!  Have you?

ps. Start talking about GTRs and watch me jump the fence :(

pps. I currently own a very fast s13 and a pulsar gtir.

Agreed with some of what other people mentioned already.. comparing cars is pretty much up to personal preference. But..

Before I got a 34 GTT I have test driven 33 gtst (modified and stock), S15 J-Spec, S14 Stock Aust delievered, gtir stock (?) (just for the hell of it) . S13/silvia and silvia I didnt bother cause I wanted a newish car. :D

I must say 34GTT is still the car to get, depending on what you wanted a car for. The GTT has better interior (standard), turns more head and more room! than an S15 or S14 or even 33. :(

I would agree to say that 34 GTRs.. ooo... gimme one.. :(

SS8-Gohan - Regarding GTR kits for a GTT. Was just at powerplay yesterday to get my car serviced and was told that the East Bear GTS-R kit, which is a plastic (better than fiberglass) GTR copy is now available.

Unfortunately i already have a full CWest kit but if you interested the price for the GTS-R kit is about 3800 just for parts i think. This im pretty sure includes front rear bar and skirts. ALSO included is a carbon fibre style (dont actually think its real CF). U need to have the bonnet since the GTR kits extends out longer.

I saw it whilst i was there and it looks very good. The kit itself will fit all GT models including I think the 4 door (saw a picture of the kit on a 4 door car whilst i was there). Just wish i hadnt paid 6 grand for a full cwest kit, would of got this 1 instead. If u are interested call Joanne at powerplay.

Good for you.. I've been as passenger in most of these cars however.. that is enough to get a feel for how they drive, although not as true as driving one I will admit.

And well interior, exterior, room, turning heads on the street, and everything else I prefer the R34 GT-T, and so do many others. You don't have to have actually sat behind the steering wheel to know that.

Anythow, this a skyline forum, and a discussion about the R34 GT-T, not the silvia.

s15 interior is better than gtt! you've got to be joking. s15 looks like it's made out of empty ice cream containers on the inside. soooo plastic.

when I bought mine my choice boiled down to new 200sx v gtt. we now know how that ended.

    • When you say your cams are 272/262 is that 272in and 262ex?
    • We're arguing semantics. I am saying 45 accel and a 55 deccel ramp are "2 ways". Even a 45 degree ramp and an 89 degree ramp is "2 ways", because it is literally... two ways. The cusco 55/30 ramp is a 2 way. It's two ways. I get it though - in normal nomenclature a "2 way" would be 45/45 or 55/55 or 60/60 i.e the same locking in both directions. And something like 45/65 would be considered "1.5 way". I would then say if we're getting into the nitty gritty then every locking diff is a "2 way" diff and we should not speak in 1.5, or 2 ways but ramp angles instead. Which ofc if one of those ramp angles is 90deg, that side is not doing any locking. :p So Nismo don't obviously sell 3 things. The fact of the matter that they only sell two items really goes to show that there's a 2 way and a "1,5 way" which is really a 1 way. I believe the actual lockup for the 'adjustability' of the GT pro is really just setting preload for when the ramps actually start locking up. It's not changing how much 'wayness' there is. It is (somehow) horribly explained. People just buy whatever diff and go "locks up good bruh" and that's what ends up on socials forever.
    • No, you're wrong, and you've always been wrong about this. The Nismo has 2 sets of openings. One is a real 2-way, and the other is a 1-way. There is no 1.5-way possible with the ramps that they offer. A real 1.5-way does exist. That Cusco stuff I posted is a prime example. If the forward drive ramps are, say 55°, and the overrun ramps are, say, 30°, then you will get about half as much LSD effect on overrun than you do on drive. It is real, it realy works. OK, you're slightly right. The Nismo has 55° and 45° ramps on the 2-way, so it does offer less LSD effect on overrun. But, I think that just means that they've (probably) sensibly established that you do not want actually equal LSD effect on overrun. You just want "quite a lot, but not quite as much as the drive LSD effect".
    • Just wanted to unearth this and post my baby with the new front ❤️😝 Took her to my wedding rehearsal today. Next up is getting wide skirts (after wedding)
