how long will it be between drives??

fuel isnt as prone to 'going bad' as quickly as people thing.. if its going to be more than a month or two between drives than it might be a drama.. Leave the fuel level low and all will be well

How long you leaving it for ?, i let the 34 sit for almost 2 months in the garage till about 2 days ago. Didnt do anything to the fuel.....my Mate let his R34 sit for a 3-4 months while he was overseas he experinced a dead battery but thats it nothing a jump start didnt solve.

Hahaha no matt I've heard what you do to skylines! Hit up Owen I hear he doesn't like his anymore haha.

Welllll I'm getting a photoshoot with matt in 2 weeks :D so After that itll Probly sit till a week before wakie when I get it ready and tinker, so sounds like

It should be fine.

Haha Dave it's not hard to keep the bloody fuel low in that!

Thanks for the input guys!!

Yeah, mine sits on permanent trickle charge now, but will see the light of day again soon enough! There's about half a tank I put in there sometime in August.

Too late!

Jarrad's already gone.

Now this is going to be a short damn thread! :P

If it's flat ground, we store our old show cars with them OUT OF GEAR and hand brake off.

Leaving them in gear for too long, oil can drain off them, and surface rust can build and seize the gears the same way the handbrake seizes.

We've also had on numerous occasions on the old show cars after sitting for too long, the clutch plate sticks to the flywheel, finding this out by attempting to start it and having the vehicle leap frog into something is not a nice way to find out... I'd rather find out when it just grinds the gear when attempting to put it into gear.

Disconnect the battery, OR place it on trickle charge (I prefer trickle charge as it leaves all your settings on your radio alone + leaves the alarm etc all turned on)

And Jarrad, I've NEVER broken anyone elses skyline. Only mine.

So where do I get the keys from?

Is true, Matt treated mine quite well on a Nasho run.

Note to self, out of gear and HB off. And yeah I like keeping my radio settings :P Although no sub anymore.

I don't know how you can just park yiur cars without driving them....

Mine was off the road for 2 months whilst I done the engine, and it was killing me.

Seriously!

Wtf????

Drive the car, even if its just once a fortnight.

You'll love it, the car will love it, everybody's happy.

    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
