stu02_m35
A few weeks back the old stag was running a bit rough and the engine light came on... I thought I got some bad fuel so I got some fuel treatment and injector cleaner and disconnected the battery for 24 and it came good. It only seems to be an issue as the motor warms up then after that she runs ok but the engine light remains on.... Could it be the plugs and if so any1 know the replacement number. Cheers. BigBoyDan
Std coils? If they are get some yellow jacket or slitfire replacements and new plugs. bigkevracer
Its an m35. Don't think they take the same coils. Do some searching on here to work out how to get the fault code out. once you have this it should be easy to find the problem. andy65b
Cheers, do you know what the damage on the coils are? It is unlikely that the coils are at fault. AS mentioned above... get the fault code and then you won't have to speculate. BigBoyDan
After 10-15 years they seem to fail. Not usually any visible signs. On rereading your post it maybe something else Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/391653-engine-light-prob/#findComment-6233502 Share on other sites

If I was to take a guess it sounds like your Bank1 or Bank2 sensor is on its way out. bigkevracer
Code will tell you which one. One of mine had to be replaced before I picked up the car, so its reasonably common.
