Is the price 450 ish for the set and has any1 got a link to pics and can I still jump in. if so I'm back in for a black housing s1 sedan I wanna see what I'm buying tho first

This was the same thing that I was wondering. I was pretty disappointed to be told to go & read the whole thread to find the answer, I was also confused on the price thats why I asked like you have. It would have been just as quick to have answered my question. I was interested up until being told this.

Hi Paul, i have been following this link from the beginning and had been giving enough information to all as much as i can, I had literally asked so many questions to Jesse streeter that he did mention he cant spend any more time on this buy.....so it would be nice if you could atleast spend some time reading the comments to get your answer......unfortunately everything cant be served on a silver plate.....

I read the entire thread & was still confused as I assume others may have been. In the time it took to tell me to read the thread again you could have answered my question. I was unsure if the cost was for a single unit or 2 headlights & if there were more parts needed to get everything working properly.

I imagine that will solve your questions about the sedan assembly's shiva, found it on yahoo myself.

And now i have satisfied my need to see the product, I will happily fork out my $452 for them, seems like a bargain, i will pair with you if u like shiva

Ok... i'm out...

I went with importmonster... It was more expensive.. but worth it in my opinion..

"I had literally asked so many questions to Jesse streeter that he did mention he cant spend any more time on this buy"

After reading this i figured someone who is in the business of importing and one would assume customer service, can't provide time on something.. not a safe bet

Understand your lack of patience, but understand that Jesse has to go through hundreds of emails each day let alone calling up suppliers, ordering goods and looking after his warehouse storage/shipping etc.

If he said that then I would assume that there would have been more than 20 emails back and forth. It takes a fair bit for him to cut a buyer off (some of the companies and questions he has had to deal with from me are unenviable).

I realise that it is hard putting this all together & that people are getting frustrated. I did not go ahead with the order because I did not have a clear understanding of it. If the buy has not been finalised I would be interested (& would not let anyone down) provided it is available via air freight & not sea mail to Adelaide. I would be interested in chrome for a 2004 coupe. If it is closed then no big deal, offering to do this may help someone.

OK guys, I emailed Jesse today and this was the response that I got from him:

this is turning into a bit of a mess.

seller agreed on that price IF I order 12 sets at once. so far 3

people have contacted me over a week so if thats it Im not going to

get that price.

Im starting to hate on group buys :(

so until I get the numbers I promised the seller (and the Shiva said

were going to happen) I wont be able to do them at that price.

shipping costs are based on exact weight and Im assuming they are 7kg

per pair packed. if they are lighter shipping will be less, if they

are heavier shipping will be more.

also the costs are all in JPY so the AUD amount will float on the

exchange rate, AUD is strong at the moment but if it drops the price

in AUD will go up.

So before we get too excited I think its probably best to hassle Shiva

and make sure we have 12 sets that are going to be ordered.

I will write to Jesse to advise him that we did have confirmation on 12 sets. However, since Megahowler has pulled out, we are now one short.

For those of you who are interested but have not previously confirmed, can you now indicate whether you are keen to proceed or not. I think the best course of action would be for:

(a) Shiva to let Jesse know that we do have 12 sets and that he can expect to be contacted by 6 people (3 of which have already done so).

(b) Start pairing yourselves up and nominate one of the two to email jesse confirming the order and sorting out payment terms with him.

Cheers,

Keith

So, if Mega doesn't decide to change his mind for the 5th time, looks like we have 5 total in Vic.

Think and Big are paired, so Inter and Mayo, you wanna jump in on a triple order?

I've emailed Jesse, but happy to pay you guys direct and just sit back, or run the comms & collate payment / get them shipped

Prefer airmail, but open to whatever works for the group...

Just be careful if they are going to declare full value of each pair @ over $333 each you will get slugged for Aus duties = roughly 25% (including GST) if you put together 3 sets.

    • It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
    • By "reverse flow", do you mean "return flow"? Being the IC having a return pipe back behind the bumper reo, or similar? If so... I am currently making ~250 rwkW on a Neo at ~17-18 psi. With a return flow. There's nothing to indicate that it is costing me a lot of power at this level, and I would be surprised if I could not push it harder. True, I have not measured pressure drop across it or IAT changes, but the car does not seem upset about it in any way. I won't be bothering to look into it unless it starts giving trouble or doesn't respond to boost increases when I next put it on the dyno. FWIW, it was tuned with the boost controller off, so achieving ~15-16 psi on the wastegate spring alone, and it is noticeably quicker with the boost controller on and yielding a couple of extra pounds. Hence why I think it is doing OK. So, no, I would not arbitrarily say that return flows are restrictive. Yes, they are certainly restrictive if you're aiming for higher power levels. But I also think that the happy place for a street car is <300 rwkW anyway, so I'm not going to be aiming for power levels that would require me to change the inlet pipework. My car looks very stock, even though everything is different. The turbo and inlet pipes all look stock and run in the stock locations, The airbox looks stock (apart from the inlet being opened up). The turbo looks stock, because it's in the stock location, is the stock housings and can't really be seen anyway. It makes enough power to be good to drive, but won't raise eyebrows if I ever f**k up enough for the cops to lift the bonnet.
    • There is a guy who said he can weld me piping without having to cut chassis, maybe I do that ? Or do I just go reverse flow but isn’t reverse flow very limited once again?
    • I haven’t yet cut the chassis, maybe I switch to a reverse flow. I’ve got the Intercooler mounted as I already had it but not cut yet. Might have to speak to an engineer
    • Yes that’s another issue, I always have a front mount, plus will be turbo plus intake will big hasstle. I’ve been told if it looks stock they’re fine with it by a couple others who have done it ahahaha.    I know @Kinkstaah said the stock gtt airbox is limiting but I might just have to do that to avoid a defect so it atleast looks legit. Or an enclosed pod so it’s hidden away and feed air from the snorkel and below Intercooler holes like kinstaah mentioned. Hmm what to do
