since thursday when I filled up with a full tank till today I've run on the same tank... that includes a trip to sunshine from mill park on friday night and sunday night to see my gf.

All up I've done 496km :) since i filled up n reset my thingy. and i've got a lil bit more to go :( i'll refill on thusday.

yes, well great fuel economy is somethng us N/A-ers take for granted :) downside is lower momentum pushing head back into chair and constant tendancy to see purple GTRs taillights.

there is something wrong... and as many a copper has found out, there is no turbo...

ahahhahahhaha pissa

I didn't realise you had a N/A

did you have trouble keeping up at any time or not (i would think not)

well it took a while for me to accelerate to get to the same speeds you guys were doin, but after that it was relatively easy to keep goin along the same speed.

Coming out of corners was a bit of a bitch coz you guys would shoot off to *80/90/100* and I'd be pudging along gradually increasing speed.

I didn't go with the lead pack for that reason, din hold you fellas up, I stuck with the GTSt's n didn't hold many people up. Altho I did cop a bit of abuse on the CB for havin a slow GTS :) but I gave it bak to em. esp Shivam, who will now NOT be gettin my rear pods. :(

Bah wait till I get my RB25DET in my GTS...

one thing I noticed was that some of the GTSt guys took corners a lot slower than I did so I sorta made up for lack of acceleration out of the corners. mmm love that constant power curve *not* damn license restrictions.

license restirctions?

yeah taking the corners quick can help you keep up quite well

MSPEC kept up with us GTR's at the front in his GTST, mainly due to him taking corners at very high speeds :)

yeah coz I was caught doing some naughty stuff I'm under a 115kw/tonne restriction on my license. :) my car was also impounded n my licesnse suspended for 6 months after which I went back to my L's I was under the old Provisional system back then. When it came time to get my P's again the new 3 year system had kicked in :(

How was everyones fuel consumption? I'm gonna fill up this arvo. I got 475km to this tank since last Thursday till now. I'm pretty impressed considering the cruise...

your joking right?

I filled up at the start... then needed to at the end.

I did about $50 in fuel. approx 300-320 out of a tank at the moment!

God-damn i need a PowerFC :D

    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
    • Good luck on the weekend mate
    • Must have been an absolute nightmare to drive when the power steer was out, the rack ratio/wheel size/caster is all set up for power assistance
    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
