Hey ron!

I joined in 06.

Ives seen some familiar faces come and go in the last 6 years!

I remember when you were active on the forum, it is going back some time tho.

As terry asked, what are you driving? and are skylines still a passion of yours?

Cheers adam

welcome back :)

EDIT: err... i just checked my joined date, i see your October '02 and raise you.... :D - man, had no idea it's been that long. Crazy

Ron, did you come over from SDU? that's the ORIGINAL i guess :D

Hi guys, yeah been away for a while but really this is the only forum I feel like home.

I still remember back in the days of SDU, and yes I was on there as well.

Also remember the days skyline owners used to just flash hibeams as we past one another (back then Lines were rare, got mine in '99)

I dont have one anymore but still love them to bits, whenever i see all you guys' cars boostin up the street it still give me goosebumps and bring back memories.

I m a tradie now so i drives hiace van everyday, but couple time a week i get to jump in my miss's R36 family car. Til E63 comes that is, just waiting to test drive the current one with 5.5TT

pffft.. damn old timers.

Dam straight :whistling:

Remember SDU well. I joined it in around 1999 - 2000. Still had my R31 GTS2, and was starting to shop for my GTSt.

Fondest memories were arguing with the chequebook racer from hell who claimed that all his developments were his own design / idea (even made some claims insinuating that his ideas were taken up by Cosworth when he got them to do some development on his GTR). Of course back in those days if you dared to question anything he said you'd get shot down (and banned) by his fanboi club. I won't mention any names, but I'm sure those from that era will remember him well.

    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
    • @GTSBoy yeah sorry i know thery are known for colors bud those DBA are too in colors 🙂 Green will be good enough for me
