Unfortunately issue's can arise. 32 fuel pumps u can use most pumps as the pump is at the bottom of the tank. If u have done a 33 pump u will understand theyre a bitch

must be a way to mount the 040 in a 33 tank to be able to sit under quarter tank?

040 is the last pump I would choose in this day and age. A real walbro, deatchswerks, nismo are all easier and will do the job easily.

I run 040, installed myself have had low fuel levels but also no problems...

maybe I did the install better than others???

I bet you did it by the book so there should be few issues. I installed a Bosch 984 years ago using the factory sock and it has been perfect but I would still choose a different pump today.

got my mate to order a Nismo drop in replacement pump for his S15, $530... a tad exxy, but no headache, no custom bs, and it's quiet.

Just a few more things to come, then it's road tuning time, then might hit up DVS and hire out his dyno for an hour or so

seems pretty straight forward there should be no issue.. ill find out soon enough

040 has an open end so there is no way to attach the standard sock. Did you use an 044?

I used the intank Bosch I thought that was the 040 and the 044 was the larger one that was for mounting outside the tank...

Thats correct. But 040 has a mesh filter on the bottom. So no where to connect a sock too

Hmmm, I wish I had of taken photos then... be one for over 1.5yrs with no probs, made sure the pickup was as low as the std one...

maybe I didnt use the sock on that one, Ive done a few fuel pumps in the last year or two on dif cars, not all skylines.

The 984 has a hose end on the bottom. The 044 needs dash fittings for the bottom to connect the sock.

The open end of the 040 is harder to mount low enough to avoid issues with fuel pick up.

Running an 040 with no sock and I've driven as far as filling the tank with ~58-59 litres before. Just need to mount it low and make sure you don't have a heap of dirt sitting at the bottom of the tank.

I used this as a guide on how to mount... it sits just as low as the std one...

I honetly dont see the prob with using an 040 over a nismo pump for $200-300 more...

For a Tuner you cant go past Indy at IS Motor Racing in Rockdale, the best out there, just tell him Daniel with the white r34 sent you there and he will look after you.
