turboedsloth
Hold the pinion tight somehow, undo the nut. The nut may be peened so that will have to be knocked out. Usually a 1/2" rattle gun can undo the nut Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/398824-how-to-remove-front-diff-pinion-fuuuuuuuuuu/#findComment-6334648 Share on other sites
RBish
i had vice grips on it and tried a screw driver to jam it up. probably my weak ass bluepoint rattle gun. will take it into work or into a jdm workshop to undo it and rebuild the diff back up Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/398824-how-to-remove-front-diff-pinion-fuuuuuuuuuu/#findComment-6334709 Share on other sites

RBish
removed the pinion nut today with my 1/2" rattle gun at work, the workshop air compressor really helps... and knocked the pinion loose with a copper hammer. now i can get on with this build, thanks. blind_elk
When I did it, I had to use a 3/4" drive socket and a breaker bar about 3 feet long! Shove a screwdriver or big bolt through one of the flange bolt holes to lock against the diff case.
