We'll try and organise one further away from our comfort zone next time :) I wonder if that will persuade any other SAU'ers from out West to come though... I somehow doubt it sad2.gif

andrew, you sound as though the people who are reading this all live north? from the way im reading it, maybe if you "toned it down" a little people from the west would be more encouraged to attend? instead, it sounds as though its a "northerners" only club ......... ? or maybe im reading it the wrong way?

kel, don't you live just as far to parramatta as to north sydney? why are you mocking the distance to the west from where you are? :)

in any case, i enjoy monthly dinners. great people and great environment...well the last 2 were anyway because they were close to home :(

i dont mind north sydney, i dont mind west sydney. i think we should do a "world tour of foods"....we should travel through all of asia (going from my last 2 experiences), then europe, etc etc.... just to have a theme :(

since were still in asia, i suggest the next stop be nepal. "yak & yeti" is an authentic napelese restuarant in glebe on glebe point road. cosy atmosphere and gorgeous food. rated very highly on the good food guide and is personally owned by my napelese friends parents.

in any case, i'll go with the crowd ;)

Parramatta is only 25km from Lane Cove.

I'm with Frank. I drive from Epping to Cabramatta-land and it's no big deal. I drive to Mascot to meet friends and stuff.

If you're willing to drive to Castle Hill, Artarmon, Silverwater, Smithfield for car things, why not drive a reasonable distance for a night out ONCE A MONTH!

T.

We need suggestions for places outside of the northshore

the reason I can see why it's been centred on the north is that those of us who are organising it live this way and know the restaurants.

I would LOVE to go to leichardt though one night for Italian :D mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

i'll suggest another one then :D

RIO'S on parrammatta rd stanmore! from what i've seen from the outside they have these brazilian dancers with traditional brazilian clothes -> read skimpy!

it looks like an awesome night out :D :D :(

I've been there Franks - no good. We did have a sexy waitress but that was the only saving grace.

hey franks, I'd love to go elsewhere and get new ppl along (and hopefully keep the current ones!)....post up something for the June dinner and we'll start whipping up a crowd...and hopefully more of the westsiders will come along too :D

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
