thats it!. It will be like a Mclaren pitstop lol , It seems fine now, fuel pressures holding, and hasn't missed a beat since cleaning it, so hopefully it will be all good until I get the new pump on monday.

Luke are you meeting everyone at the ettomogah or heading straight to there, I ask because would you be able to bring the pump as a 'just in case" for me?

So Ettomogah Pub meeting point is a go!!!!!!!!!!

See you all there!

Bob.

So.... for those who dont know exactly where Kravings is.

Bells Line richmond

Head towards the mountains

Over the river and through North Richmond

Up the hill and continue to Kurmond

Passed the Restaurant that is all fenced off on the right and its litterally 20 seconds further up on the right.

If your one of the first there there will be my black and grey HR31 GTSX and GregR31's.... R31 which is burgandy and black.

Hope everyone gets there safely and we shall see you there.

Thats where I'm heading to.

Took the car to the mechanic this morning, and he found the TPS and base idle were out of adjustment and a faulty o2 sensor, so he seems to think the pump is ok and it was the ECU going haywire , so I've changed the o2 sensor and it seems ok touch wood.

We will obviously be inside for lunch and in your own cars, possibly with heaters for the cruise lol. I still dont know where we could actually cruise to for some pics or a chat but we can discuss this tomorrow.

19 confirmed and its booked under Liam Ford.... Not Skylines Australia however for those who dont see this I'll word up the Kravings staff that some may say its SAU...

Thanks everyone and see you all tomorrow

not always obvious on the seating inside.

we thought we would have indoor dining in the pizzas in the mist cruise, that ended up being a COLD lunch....

and liam ford/SAU, same....

Unfortunately lunch is full. It was confirmed on Thursday so no spots left at the table.

Not sure what time we will be finished lunch and going on the cruise, possibly 2pm but depends on how quick we get food and everyone wants to leave. Feel free to come for the cruise tho.

RGB txt me on 0421799454 and ill let you know early morning if I can make the lunch or not, maybe you can take my spot and I come for the cruise.

Had some issues with the car which im hoping to resolve tomorrow morning.

sorry about this being last minute FordyR31, my front bar fell off tonight :(

    • They are under bucket shims. Tomei provides a test shim kit and then any measurement of shim required.
    • I always wondered how you were supposed to buy a set of 24 buckets and somehow magically have every single one of them yield exactly the desired clearance. I would have thought you'd need to assemble a cam with either 12 "sample" or "example" buckets of known top thickness (or a single such sample/example 12 times over!!) measure clearances at every valve, and then do the usual math to work out what the actual "shimness" of each bucket needed to be, before buying the required buckets to make up he thicknesses that you didn't have on hand.
    • I now seem to be limited in power due to my rev limit/hydraulic lifters in my built RB25. I'm looking into converting over to Tomei solid lifters. Question for anyone that has done the conversion. I was always under the impression that when using the Tomei solid lifter conversion, you would also require new valves (Longer or shorter stems, I can't remember which).  I don't know where I got this idea, as so far I see no mention of this in any of the Tomei documentation. It just states I need the Tomei solid buckets, solid lifter cams and upgraded springs. As my head is already built, all I would need is another set of 1000$ Kelford cams, 500$ buckets and about 4H hours of my time installing and I'm off to the races!?!? There's no way it's that simple, I must be missing something?
