I've had a quick play with a few photos, only really playing with the settings in Photoshop, cant really think of ways to make them look cool at this time of night.

So if anyone has any ideas on how to improve this I'd be happy to hear them, I tried using a B&W effect on the grave and just having the purple flowers in colour but this didnt look right

Spot color is really hard to get good results from. Have a go at a de-saturated look. So not quite B&W, but tone down the colors a bit. Not sure if it will work, but worth a try.

Got some new wheels the other day. Was an absolute bargain. So cheap to get around on, just cant carry a whole lot, lol. Also slows right down going up big hills, but you get that. Better than not being able to go out at all cause it costs too much to fill up the elgrand, lol.

The flame sticker makes it for me :P I had one years ago and painted it army cammo. was rad. twisted the frame jumping it though :/ tip from matty: Don't do massive jumps on it. small ones are ok ;)

p.s. i got my light the other day. just need to make a battery pack for it now and i'm ready to rock. might visit jaycar today for some bits.

a couple from Fappy's S15.

Sweet ride :P

is that more crazy light effects in the background

is this kinda what you mean with the effect? Probably not exactally but anyway

Photo from a 21st, its a bit blurry otherwise this probably would have been a great photo:

Wow... so many amazing photos this month. Nice work guys!

My wife likes the walking dead. She says how scary some of the scenes are at night time... so showed her how 'scary' she can look

This ain't scary compared to when I'm in trouble

haha, i wouldnt feel confident enough to jump a step through frame. it still feels weird not standing on pedals or footpegs.

i did do a little burnout on it today tho, just a quick one as it was in the driveway. looking forward to doing a proper smoking tyreshredder soon tho, need a new front tyre anyway, so going to chuck it on the back and see if i can pop it :D

cant wait to see what these RBG strips can do in the hands of a decent photographer, i reckon we will be seeing some epic stuff soon

yeah, just walked past it with the LED stick.

sort of. i had a try with it and wasnt too sure if it was what i had in mind at all. i think converting it to b&w might be worth a try.

kory, love the colors in that shot, awesome dude. only thing i could think of that would improve the shot is a tiny bit of light on the ground to give the car/tyres some seperation from the background. any other color and it wouldnt be an issue at all, but with the black on black it starts to dissapear into the background a bit. other than that its perfect. unless its just my monitor being a bit too dark?

yep that is one cool shot! can't wait to see the rest of the set!

I got to break out the lights last (last) weekend on the silvia shoot. Forgot how much fun painting is! It's like your god! 100% control of the light and the image. well maybe not a god but more like a painter than a photographer. Your not capturing, but more creating. Love it.

Thanks Jay :) On my monitor it is pretty separated. I found that on my work monitors also. Might do a test print and see how it is then, but thanks for the feedback! If the test print is sh!t, then i will give it some light. So hard to work with a black and white car lol.

Your trippy ass backgrounds and images are starting to make me feel like i'm high 24/7 hahaha. Loving it.

Matt - Sweet lighting and photo. Although i said on Hardtuned, not sure if i like the flare top right..... it's starting to grow on me a bit!

i plan on doing a restoration on it, after I do a series of night shots of it in various locations.

sweet action shots!

cheers g.

i sent a message to the drift mag saying they're mag could be better.. if it had me covering sydney action'. He said it was a trial mag to see if there was demand for it. do u know if it sold well enough for them to keep pumping out more issues?

cheers g.

lol, i have no idea how well it sold. i only know that pretty much all of the content was donated and not paid for. probably a good thing ;) but you and Kory should definitely be covering Sydney action

    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
    • Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
    • Saw this replica police car based on a Mitsubishi Starion XX parked next to a 'police box' (it's literally a box) in Hirohata, Himeji City in Hyogo prefecture the other day. It's owned by Morii-san who is a local Mitsubishi Starion enthusiast. According to a local radio station blog post, he always wanted to make a police car himself based on ones he saw in his favourite Manga comics.  As it's illegal to modify a car to look like a police car and drive on the road, Morii-san tried many times to get permission from Aboshi police station headquarters nearby. They refused initially by after they got tired of that they granted him permission. However, the car can only be displayed on private property and obviously can't be registered as long as the police livery is present. The car was completed at a cost of 1.5 million yen (US$ 10,000) in addition to the car cost. A location was chosen outside Hirohata Police box where the car can easily been seen from the street. Morii-san has two other Starion road cars, both widebody GSR-VRs.
