Airpod Install Making The Car Lack In Boost.

Airpod filter has just been installed today, the car is able catch the boost at high rev but seems to have no power till 5000rpm?

Installed hks super air flow reloaded.

The airpod is very loud.

OK, so to treat this seriously.....car was faster before with the original airbox? Now is slower with the pod? What else was changed to fit the pod? Anything?

Yeah car is slower, I took the old box off and put the pod filter on, so it's just a straight swap. I have bought the proper adapter plate and all.

The airpod is louder then the exhaust

So if your not happy with it and believe its your problem put the Airbox back.

I plan on making it powerful car and want to do it up. I just wanna know why it's lost power over the airpod upgrade.

if it was fine immediately before the pod install then u have an air leak somewhere after the air flow meter (AFM), probably between the AFM and the turbo intake.

or you have disturbed some of the wiring for your boost controller.

Is there noticable black smoke coming out the exhaust?

I don't have a boost controller on the car.

Yeah true it isnt an upgrade, if the intake is all sucure and nothing is wrong I'll just put the box back on.

The idea was to put the airpod on for a trial and then start exhaust, intercooler ect upgrades but what I'm trying to say is that I'm losing a crap load of power by having this new pod on.
