Osiris is good for whatever you can get a AFM to read. Has been used on cars with over 1000hp (USA)

With an AFM upgrade it will do everything that the HKS kit will do on a std motor. Without boost control, you dont even need to upgrade the stock AFM.

Also HKS FCon is available.

got most shit sorted plugs etc.

thinking about using royal purple oil and filter. its not cheap but is it worth it?

also turbo timer HKS or Apexi?

any recoms on electronic boost controller?

what about deleting the cat?

cheers

Go Motul 300v or NEO. Both are better than RP.

No turbo timer - not required. Just drive comfortably for the last block or two before you get to your destination

EBC - HKS EVC, Blitz IBC or Greddy Profec B.

Why delete the cat? Just get a high flowing cat. If it is the HKS turbo kit, leave the cat as is.

Definitely aim to keep some kind of catalytic converter in the vehicle to at least keep it street legal. There's no point in having a nice performance car if it gets taken off the road for failing emissions tests in random inspections. It's way more hassle than its worth.

Cheers, then shakes head no? *confused*

anyway- what injectors are you using? Did you get a real ECU solution?

Royal Purple is fine, its in my car atm, but as iamhe said - there are better oils again. Buy filters from nissan

As has been said- no need for turbo timer, your expert friend should know that. turbo is oil and water cooled and as long as you dont flog it and turn it off right away will be fine.

Use a simple manual boost controller, unless you like spending 4-600 on something fancy. It'll do the job, but you'll just lose 1.5psi in the top range. nothing bad.

Kit comes with a high flow HKS cat unless you didn't get it. Suggest you use it.

if u get the utec hen it comes with optional boost controller and u cna program 5 different maps and change with press of a button..

As for oil, go on g35 driver and search, for FI most use Mobil 1 or Shell Rotella Syn T

RP is expensive and doesnt like our engines...

If you have a mongoose alarm most have turbo timer func built in you can program. If not then dont worry about it, just drive it slow before you get home and let it cool down..

cheers for the help guys,i know i dont need the t/t but was trying to be cautious.

undecided about ecu got a couple of weeks to sort it out before install

surprised to hear that about royal purple my mates swear by it but then again they drive commodores lol

also im missing one of the centre caps from my LMGT4 rims they are two piece with the outer one a threaded plastic cap you can see them in the picture. Any idea where i can buy one or is it easier just to buy a new set in a different style? cheers

exhaust manifolds and front end off, new manifolds and turbo on!

the bloody heat shields were the biggest pain took an hour to get each one off!!!

only a bees dick of room for the turbo didnt think it would fit for a mo!

intercooler next

    • Just had this happen to me too.  R32 GTR.   Also broke "just before going out onto the track" - someone up there is looking out for us... Very scary since I was about to do a narrow street course with zero run-off and curbs everywhere. Many people on here upgrading to billet uprights and R35 bearings?   Or buying new OEM knuckles?  I am not keen to replace with another s/h 30 year old fatigued part.
    • Top off with distilled water and see what happens. If you keep losing coolant then you know to start looking.
    • Nope.    Grab a varex and turn it down as you get close to home, win win?
    • So, I've had my V36 for about a month now and have already copped an "excessive exhaust noise" notification from QLD TMR, reported by someone in my local area. It's a twin as per the original, and can have a bit of a throaty note to it when idling cold 😄 and if I do get up it a bit, it can be noisy, but it did pass a roadworthy inspection before sale, so.... ... but in the interest of being a good neighbour, I do want to quieten it down a bit. Is anyone here running a quiet aftermarket cat-back on their V36 or 370Z? And the big, bold question: does an aftermarket cat-back really make much of a performance difference on these cars?
    • The wiring diagram for the R33 RB25 is freely available, and is essentially the same same as most other RBs (just with differences as to which pin # does which job). To get the ECU to power up, you just need to provide power to the ECCS relay, and have the other power feeds that come in from the top left of the wiring diagram (wrt the ECU) that give perma power to the fuel pump relay, the ECU itself, etc etc, all connected. When you put power on all these it will just come to life. It's pretty clear from the diagram what needs to happen. Just follow the lines from the 12V + supply stuff in the top left over towards the ECU. I've even posted snips of such diagrams (not for vanilla 25, I think for Neo and 26) to various threads here in the last few months, talking about what it takes to get the fuel pump and FPCM up and going. Search these up and they will help get you started on doing the same with the vanilla 25 diagram. Hell, for all I know, I've done the same with that one in years past and have forgotten.
