Hey guys

I have a set of rims that I'd like shipped from the West Coast of the US to Melbourne, Australia.

Have a quote for around $700 with USPS, but that seems a bit high.

anyone have any other suggestions?

Happy to examine sea freight as it's not urgent.

cheers

i work in imports mate. belive me road freight in the us to the port is crippling. 700 bucks is decent.

but contact sea freight. unless you have an account most of the big guys (dhl ets, fedex) etc wont touch ya.

just did a quick quote mate, if your importing 19 x 10 and they are stacked with no tires weighing no more than 5 kgs a wheel it would cost me 615 dollars to import them using dhl ets. plus tax and customs clearance if over a grand.

no worries mate at19 x 10 they where 40 something kgs volumetricaly. so they would charge by size not weight.

have a look at sea freight.

i dont know if they will help you but i use/used

ADM and global freight.

I looked into this a few months back. Cheapest I found for a set of 19x10 volks was about $480 (can't remember who it was from though, sorry!!) That was for sea freight but it sure beats some of the other quotes i was given (up to $1200!!)
