Manuel Kasko
Just a guess and this is only because I had this happen. Something fell down the right side of my boot floor so it was between the bodykit and the car. Every time I put my foot down it would vibrate. Ended up being a can of something down there. danny14
i think this is a bit more serious its deff coming from driveline ..in rear Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/413500-vibration-coming-from-rear-when-hard-acceleration/#findComment-6620563 Share on other sites
sydking
Best bet is taking it in for a full check over not "couldnt see anything noticeable" As there is obviously something wrong.... jiffo
We're talking about a car perhaps 20 years old and probably still running the original driveline components, despite who knows how many high rpm clutch dumps. My money is on the propshaft universal joint and that's a specialist repair job. Not replaceable due to the peened-in design but still they perform extremely well. However if you load them up heaps, the worn needles won't be happy and hello vibrations. Race__24
If it's a GTR I'd take a look at the Altessa. Put it into RWD and see if it goes away. danny14
it still does it in 2wd. how much movement can the tailshaft have in it for it to be exsessive ? GTR-N1
Whilst underneath the tailshaft of a different R32 GT-R, push upwards at the joint or bearing, you'll probably notice that it's a lot stiffer than yours. Yours might even have a slight bow in it - or it's softer. It'd certainly have more movement - hmm, maybe 2". It would be easier to change the whole shaft than a universal joint (as jiffo alluded to). I don't know about tailshaft replacements in a R32 GT-R; but in the R33 GT-R, the tailshaft is different between a V-Spec and a Non-V-Spec. GTR_JOEY
My bet is either uni joint or possibly centre bearing... Have you had your wheels balanced and aligned lately? cobrAA
I have the same problem ( well I think). It usually happens between 2.8 k to 3.2k then booom turbos kick-in 10psi and you don,t notice it anymore. You barely notice it in 1-3 because of how quick the GTR goes from 2.8 to 3.2. so its really more a thing of cruising on the highway in 5th gear. I thought it was my 20yr old diff. or could this be du to an aftermarket diff making this weird sound?
