Seriously though, Webber losing a fcking wheel...

How bad is his pit team? They seriously do not want him at red bull anymore. It's blatantly obvious.

more tinfoil-hattery

seriously, shit just 'happens' in racing

This is formula 1 though!!! Wouldn't that piss you off?

sure would, if it was my team

despite everyone's best efforts though, trying to change all four wheels on a car in sub-3 seconds is bound to lead to issues occasionally no matter how much money you're spending

yep - there you go. Even if you remember nothing from the early days of Schumacher's career, its clear from the numbers alone that Vettel is doing it from a more dominant car in an era with a more generous points system. Schuey with less than half the number of pole positions scores more podiums, and the same number of wins but less championships.

it's 82 top three finishes from 103 races and 2 championships

vs 75 top three finishes from 103 races and 3 championships

almost 10% more top three finishes (9.33% to be precise)

Its a dodgy comparison. (If you ignore both driver's debut forcing their way into an F1 seat with a team fro a single GP, Schumacher with Jordan and Vettel with BMW) Schumacher started off with the 'best-of-the-midfield-teams', Benetton, sticking with them for 4 years as part of the team that took them from that 'best-of-the-midfield-teams' status to multiple Constructer's Champions. Vettel jumped ship from Torro Rosso after 2yrs into the Red Bull at the time it became not just competitive, but won over a third of the GPs, and was the dominant car by the end of the season. And he stayed put ever since in the dominant car.

Schumacher had won his two WDC's by his 69th race then took the bold decision to move to Ferrari, who were consistently below the level of the top 2 teams, despite having just won the last two consecutive WDC with Benetton, who retained the same Renault V10 and the same technical team headed by Brawn while Shumacher left on his own. So 30% of Schumacher's races at that point were in the building phase with Ferrari. You don't see Vettel doing anything like that! He stayed put with the winning team and kept racking up the stats. It would have been like Vettel jumping ship from Red Bull at the end of the 2010 season to Mercedes... where would his stats be now? lol

The why's and how's are irrelevant. Its the results that matter. Isnt that right schui fans!

That's all these schui queers ever hung their hat on. Ever seen those tshirts that these people wear with all his 'numbers' on the back? pole/wins/etc. You think half of them even know he won two titles in a Benetton? Negro please

Nobody cares how it was done, only that it was done at all. Now these same people are getting butthurt that Seb is going to start knocking off some of these numbers and claiming them for himself. And rightly so. The guy is pretty damn good, and so is his team.

Webber had the same car as Seb has had for the last 4 years? wheres his poles/wins/WDC's?! Fcuking. Nowhere.

I still don't think that Seb will be a 7 time champ, or even get to 91 wins, but what he has accomplished still stands as an extraordinary achievement, worthy of comparison with the best

I've always been a fan of Vettel. The debut with BMW was impressive, as were his wet performances with Torro Rosso, including their only GP win. He is very good, and it is nice he's matched Schuey's wins at this stage of their careers, even if he did have to stay with the dominant team for 4 years to do it. :P

SV himself has said himself he's all about racking up the stats and records. That clearly wasn't the way Schumacher went racing... everyone thought he was mad leaving the multiple championship winning team for Ferrari.

quick question - was this stat from before or after Malaysia? lol

Why's and How's do matter.

I would rather be considered the second best driver of all time like Schuey will be, than be remembered because I had the best equipment and I was the biggest prick.

They are both the same. Pricks with the best equipment. Most world champions are exactly that.*

Please note: This in no way excuses Vettool from being a pole smoking *%$#. Or Schumacher for that matter.

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
