Should have backed Kimis pace off and cruised him to the line to look after the tyres. Good to see Lotus back...Romain have a good day.

And Webber...f**k RBR. That is twice this season they have dicked Mark . Add Malaysia into it and he could have had a few wins this year!

Yeah but better to pit for fresh tyres and guarantee a podium and have a chance at a win, then drag the tyres over the edge and fall back down the field. I understand the call

One more lap I think he would have had Vettel, would have been the best party crasher in the world

first euro gp under my belt & fark me what a cracking day! Had some really nice seats in t11 & the weather was awesome, was really shattered after marks pit lane debacle, was really hoping he'd be racing for the win since I'd come all this way...

Hot tip for anyone doing it in future, if you decide to stay in cologne as many seem to (& we did) it's an absolute mission to get to the burger ring without driving. We ended up renting a car & did it in about an hour & a half as the other option was 2 trains, 2 buses & close to 3 hours! Could've been there quicker but the gps was a bit 'scenic'. Efficient germans my arse.

Anywho, home now, beers are cracked & just need to find a replay to watch!

I was told they put buses on the for the GP??? Hungaroring is about is out in paddoks. Thankfully they put on a good bus service. Monza is great. Right next to a train stations...about the only good thing about the place.

Spa is in middle of nowehere. Accom is a challenge ... I think I am going to camp if a few things fall into place. Namely new job OS

haha Roy I've been torturing myself trolling car sales sites since I got here but as this was a 'short' contract just never ended up happening, next one should be longer hopefully so planning on grabbing something a bit higher end as a personal import out of the uk.

Was nothing wrong with driving to nurburg, even the carpark emptied in about 25min. Just meant no beers in the sun but did see some cracking roads on the way in/out. Shame about all the traffic then...

Have a mate that lives in Brussel's who's super keen to do spa & camp but think I'll be home for a couple weeks at that point

Sauber's financial problems have apparently taken another twist as several German sources are now claiming that the team's lead driver, Nico Hulkenberg is set to leave the team at the end of the season.

Sauber have reportedly failed to pay Hulkenberg since May while team personnel has since been payed late as well. Although the team denies that people are not getting paid, the overall financial difficulties have been confirmed by team principal Monisha Kaltenborn as she negotiates with possible candidates to get the team out of its wild waters.

Swiss newspaper TagesAnzeiger reported last week that the team is in acute need of around 32 million dollar only to save the team. It is also mentioned that Sauber pays for its Ferrari engines by lending its state of the art windtunnel to the Scuderia.

The problems originate from the departure of BMW, requiring Peter Sauber to take control back of his team before leaving early this year. The subsequent financial crisis in Europe has caused further difficulties that the only Swiss F1 team have yet to overcome.

It is at the moment very unclear how the team is going to get out of the slump, but rumours suggest that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich may be interested in buying the team. The Sauber team currently already has a promotional deal in place with the football club. Then again, Abramovich has been linked to many takeovers in various sports, but rarely have those proved correct.

My boy Romain will be around for a while yet. Its not hurting to have a French drive at Lotus and if they can manage his head space than he can grown into something very special. But he doesnt seem to have enough asshole, arrogant everyone is wrong except me self belief that most have to keep on keeping on :)

    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
