I am pumped. Dan has been called up to test the RBR at Silverstone. Lets hope he can seal the deal and we see another Aussie in a top seat next year

Joe Saward seems to think its the wrong choice fro RBR and they should be looking at JEV.

Also interesting to see Coughlan has left Wiliams and Pat Symonds has signed up. SO many changes cant be good for Williams but hopefully Symonds can convince Maldanado to bin it and get Bottas in a good spot after a safety car

It should be pointed out that Joe Saward is a pharken idiot who's opinion is not worth a cold dog turd.

Looks the goods, wonder how much cheaper Kimi he would be....

SMACK BANG ON THE MONEY THERE. Our boy is looking real good as the chins replacement. However, will come down to dollar amounts vs experience

I bought the G27 the day that F1 2010 was released for PC, played it about 4hrs that Friday night then put it back in the box never to be touched again. Was planning on selling it but may need to hold out until F1 2013 Classic Edition is released...

And Sainz Jnr was only 0.044s slower than Dan in the STR on his first ever drive in an F1 car. That's faster than Dan was in his first drive of the RBR, with 2yrs F1 experience under his belt...

Track condition, temps etc will have something to do with it. Hard to say how much however. But seen as they were on different days I don't know if it will be quite as bad as it looks on paper.

Must be hard driving 2 different cars in the same day. Wasn't entirely shocked that he was slower in the Red Bull considering it wouldnt be set up for him or even designed with him in mind. So yeah hard to really say, hopefully its not a cross against Dan's name

World Champions stand. Was there this year, up the back this time. Was right in the front row this year which was alright but everyone walked past all the F$&@#$@# time which meant you had to move your legs all the time

Just wonder if the dates are locked in now that Melbourne isn't round 1 anymore. I'd like to look into accom soon but cant really do so till the date is set in stone

Pretty sure no setup changes were allowed on the car on the day. Not sure what they might have changed overnight....

Werent the established drivers forced to run the new tyres with no setup changes...vs the rookies allowed to test development parts and change setups? Many variables for the relative pace....but all the same Sainz was impressive first time out

    • So for the wide band is a Bosch 4.9 correct for the Link G4+ along with a Can bus? Just get the Link gear or is generic ok too? Eg here: LINK LINK DIGITAL WIDEBAND CAN MODULE WITH BOSCH 4.9 SENSOR : KYP Performance House
    • Bit difficult to follow. Have a look below and see what the standard R32 layout was like. Note there was a restrictor in place immediately before "turbocharged pressure control solenoid" that, if removed, magically got you 1 bar boost.
    • I might be way off the mark here.. there must be a T junction under the manifold. That takes manifold pressure through a check valve prior to the T, one side splits out to this bleed off orifice, the other straight to the wastegate actuators.
    • Carrying out some engine due diligence before my first drive in a 260RS that has been in storage for 10+ years, and found two lines that are susposed to be plumbed into the boost control solenoid. One of the lines (the wastegate boost supply line) to actuate the gates, had a bolt in one end blocking it. The other line (main boost signal line) from the very rear of the intake manifold (RB26DETT) and runs up to the boost controller had this pill in the end of it as seen in photos. Other than the obvious (T28 Ceramic turbos might well be cooked)  Can anyone shed any light on if there is any validity at all with this mod, bleeding a constant fixed rate of manifold boost pressure off through this 3mm hole?  Is it deliberate?  Was this a 90s Jap mod done to RB26's? Or has someone just fitted this without any idea of what happens to ceramic T28s if they are not gate controlled?
