congratulations for being around at a time when they hand points out like lollies.

now now, guys in the 70's and 80's were saying the same thing about the guys from the 90's

twice as many races with all their points results counting? talk about unfair advantage

this is just an extension of that

Im sure in 10 years time when 100 points are given for a race win, we'll be looking back and all this will be just a sweet memory

So, what's some donuts worth these days?

€25,000 apparently.

That's going to buy someone and their family a lifetime of curries, with samosas.

They fined Williams $60k because a cross threaded wheel nut fell off the car. They are out of their minds.

Maybe the FIA need to spend more time coming up with a formula that works instead of the crap they endlessly serve up.

the possibility of a loose wheelnut bouncing along a live racetrack is dangerous - think Massa and the spring...

then there's the wheel which could have come off - there's been an example of a loose wheel hitting someone earlier this year...

The possibilities are endless. The reality was absolutely banal and benign. The nut just fell off and went nowhere. The wheel stayed on. The car was going very slowly at the time. Anyone who thinks that is worth $60k is out of their tiny mind.

Its BS...on both counts. The race was over..last Indian GP...newly crowned World Champion...he did it after pit entry. A slap on the wrist and suspended sentence shoudl have been handed to RBR-Vettel.

Then you have Williams...they sure as hell dont design it to fail...didnt want it to fail...yet it happened. It snot like fining them is going to make them work any harder to fix the issue. Its BS. Yes it had the possibility of being dangerous. But look at the STR a few years back whose front suspension just collapsed under brakes. Look at Rubens and Brawn & Massa incident...did he het fined? Its BS!

So only penalise teams for safety breaches if someone get's hurt?

that's kinda my point. An F1 driver knows all this, but he goes and gets a special helmet and makes a big deal out of getting more points than everyone before him. Imagine the furore if Vettel did something like that!

No dont penalise them at all. Clearly something went wrong. They know something went wrong. They will be looking into it and, presumably, fixing it. They dont need the FIA to tell them to fix it. They dont need a fine to tell them they fkd up. They lost a tyre set I would assume and busted some componentry plus they lost track time.

So what difference is a fk off big fine from the FIA going to make? None. So why do it? There is hardly an outbreak of cross threaded wheel nuts in the offing.

    • The filter only filters down to a specific size. Add to that, the filter is AFTER the pump. So it means everything starts breaking your pump even if its being filtered out.
    • Just like in being 14mm too small (296mm) makes it not fit, being 14mm too big (324mm) it also won't fit. You want to find the correct rotor.
    • @GTSBoy Ok so that was the shops problem...they showed R33 rotors on R34 page and i did not know 296 do not fit(and are for R33) Yes i bought "kit" with rotors and pads. Pads are ok(i have GTT calipers front and rear). They have some 324mm but no 310mm. So i dont know if they would fit. I have 17inch LMGT4s So another question. Can i fit those in the rear or they are just "too" big for that?
    • I started removing the tank a while back with the intent to give it a proper clean. Got to a bolt that I couldn't undo completely due to a diff being in the way, so just said f**k it and siphoned the gluggy old fuel out and called it a day. Looking it the tank it looks less corroded than the one in the pics for that billet hanger from Frenchy's anyway. Isn't it the fuel filters job to worry about this stuff? I scraped off most the crusty shit of the hanger but will give it another go before reinstall coz maybe the fuel and return pipes are also full of gunk
    • Pretty sure it is a common fault. I believe this is the only part you need, but don't quote me as I don't have a V36.  I also believe it is a bit of a pain to change and the device needs to be encoded to the car once it is replaced, so may need someone with the right tools.
