I've run spacers on my street and track cars for the last 4 years with no issues.

It will unlikely void your insurance unless it was a contributing factor to the accident ... ie if your wheel cheers off the studs doubt you will be covered but if you get ran up the back of I highly doubt it will

Ooops just realised i wrote warranty, i meant insurance.. sorry it's Saturday lol.

Yeah good point, i just know that in my experience insurance companies will find any excuse NOT to pay you.

buying up parts at the moment to get the V running nicely.

I went for a twistys run with my friend in his new FT86 (both auto)

In the tight stuff he ran away but then as soon as there is anything resembling power required im right back in it.

The FT86 is deifnitely a nice car, but makes the V look like a whale when they are parked side by side

I test drove one before I started tweaking the V...

Couldn't live with that horrible boxer engine! (I owned an AE111 Levin coupe before the V... so I'm not against small rev-happy 4 cylinders).

And I really disliked the fake induction noise set up... My first VQ powered car was stock with a pod filter, and it was so loud I got pulled over and threatened with a defect for my 'loud exhaust' (exhaust was stock)...

in regards to the induction noise you can definitely get them turned off now, but i can see your point. I think you get a lot of kit for the money in terms of new car, but tbh if it were me i would buy a 135i BMW for the same cash (he has a fully optioned GTS)

I was actually about to order an 86 on salary sacrifice but decided to buy a V35 instead privately

But I cant see myself Locked into a car for 4 years, Plus the depreciation so if your get stuck and need to sell it your are way behind on cash

Plates I got like 5 years ago as a joke as It was on my beater drift CA 180sx with unpainted bodykit... Had them so long now cant get rid of them. Even though the red doesn't suit they are beaten up, scrap marks from Oran park (RIP) I'm somewhat emotionally attached to them as gay as it is :P

Its not that I have lots of time, just a hour here or there and doing lots of little jobs, They will dry up soon though as Ive run out of most of those. Exterior is pretty much done besides getting a skirt resprayed (as someone took the protective sticker off and a lot of paint with it )

Something I did yesterday

I was going to order new door grips as mine were all scratched up. Thought I might have a go at restoring them as worse case I'll but a new pair anyway.

Before

Sanded with 400, 2 coats plastic prime, 3 coats random silver (close to exterior colour) had in the garage, 2 coats clear.

Its different to the other silver a fair bit, but will do for now till I get a bunch of stuff from the US

Pleased to announce that i have finally ordered my brand new CD009 gearbox and everything else needed like chromoly pivot ball, ss clutch lines and nismo bushings. Along with the new gearbox i have also got a Southbend (Exedy) Clutch & Steel Flywheel, Amsoil 75w90 gl4 gearbox oil and Amsoil 75w90 gl5 diff oil.

AND i have ordered a RJM clutch bracket, this is meant to make the notorious "knotchy" or "rough" 1st to 2nd gear change much much smoother. I have also semi-booked a date to get it all fitted through a local shop, i am keen as beans!

I got my tein s-techs installed today....now waiting for them to settle and then do the alignment////

anyone know how long I should wait for them to settle?

tomorrow I'm gonna install the z-tube/pop charger combo myself....wish me luck :whistling:

Locky i am home now, i finally see your car! Looks clean mate, i too need to clean up the door handle silver thingy.

I like the wheels, the front licence plate looks tiny compared to the normal ones hey.

I have just replaced my bose door speaker, got a 2nd hand one off a guy named Josh that bought a v35 wreck. Works like new, finally my right ear can join my left ear in enjoying house music again!

    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
    • There's not a great deal to report here .... except ...... FOR .... LSD!!!  I bought a Quaife LSD from the UK and shipped it here .... Wish I'd just bought locally cause the shipping and duty was $700! But there were so many diffs used in the E90s I just wanted to be absolutely certain I was getting the right one so I spoke with a supplier in the UK who builds race cars and they have heaps of experience with the E90s.  I pulled the diff out which was seriously awesome - I've never done anything like that before, I must have watched 1000 videos on YT about it as well as consulting the Bentley manual. It was super easy in the end. The diff was delivered to the awesome folks at Hornsby Diffs and will be back in a few weeks. I also replaced the diff bushings with some Nolathane ones.  Really looking forward to getting it back and getting back to the track or even the skidpan.
    • yeah... the 13kg/mm springs weren't always in there, I had 10kg/mm but doing a few SMSP commanded heavier front springs. It's so good now going into T1 and T2, just need more seat time and real tyres.
