Installed a catco high flow cat I bought from Pattey a while ago. Nice to hear some gurgling when decelerating haha. Can't feel any difference from stock cat but hopefully its made some difference :/

glad it went in okay, without a back to back dyno/run of road and accelearing style will be difficult to tell the difference of just a high flow cat.

Yeah I thought that would be the case. Getting a tune in a week though I'll have nothing to compare it to coz no data prior to the high flow cat anyway.

Re-did my center console gauges because my water gauge carked it. Spent a little more this time, but definitely no defi quality. Quality seems a lot better then the last gauges though..

Gauges look good Chris. Cheapy ones don't last well do they? My cheapies died too.

Was considering Saas but they all seemed to be in Bar and F0 not PSI and C0 .

Happy with my Specos. :)

Are you still suffering Boost issues / R&R etc? Surely you would notice better Midrange / Top end with the New Cat.

Happy with my Catco. :)

Yeah I found a psi one online.

Hard to tell if i have a boost issues. Car isn't 100% at the moment. Needs a tune. Still pulls hard but it's a bit laggy. If I had an air compressor I could make a boost leak checking thing.

Yeah I figured even if I don't feel it at least I have peace of mind that the stock cat isn't in there causing a restriction.

Stuff was done...... :ninja:

Sure was! The Green Machine Lives! :woot:

Today I finally removed the 2 Big Blow Flies from between the windscreen and dash in the Wagz.

Also put in the New Floor Board I cut at work which got a little Grey Paint brushed on for definition.

(not sure whether to put it under the carpet or not.)

Pulled out the Panhard rod and convinced the old Bushes to GTFO and make way for the new ones.

Yeah it is a little bright but Classic White is the main colour we use at work.

I've done a raw MDF one aswell, minus the logo.

Was your IACV not fixable with a good clean?

What did rob do to his car today?

Rob is the master of motivation. :worship:

Now the paint is on, im back in the game.........

I got a big box of goodies saved up to fit during curing time.

    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
