T.

I live on Beecroft Rd. near by the station! sure we can meet up someday but after i get my car back!! U sure u never seen the white R33 in Beecroft? thats my car in the Avatar.anyway i better go UAS now to pick up the air guide :D

thanks chief :)

Benm they could be made full length like Geoff on SLO-32R in carbon fibre, nice but very expensive, Geoff bought in Japn and I think it was $500 or more. In alloy they could be made but would cost a lot more.

Hi guys. I have been looking for one of these for a while and prefer the full width one, as mentioned by Benm. I have found that Garage Defend offer one in carbon fibre - you can get it from Greenline, but it is hellish expensive at about AUD $380. I have attached a piccie of it. Note that this is for a GTST M spec - so may not fit a Series II, which is what I have.

None of the other makes, Border Racing, Cusco, ARC, are available for a GTST. Signal Racing do something (not reading Japanese doesn't help!), but have not been able to find out if it is right for a GTST (can't find the link right now!).

Boosted Zed: I would be interested in a price for a full width version (like Benm)for a Series II R33 GTST, if it is worth your while going to the trouble of pricing it (I understand it may not be!). :( If this is not possible, I will probably take one of the standard ones. Can't really go wrong for $40!

Cheers.

Ahh now that what im talking about MLCrisis, pure horn.. thanks for the info !

Not a bad price from Greenline for full c/f, I was expecting more.

If I could get 1 made of alloy for about half the price I'd consider it. I still wouldn't mind the air guides UAS currently have however i'd prefer to save/wait for a full length 1 as it tidies the front up heaps better.

1. When is UAS going to do a Group buy on GTR Series 3 Lips??? Please! Just have a look at the interest we had when The Sherrid was doing one until he pulled out :) .

2. Do these fit the R33 GTR?

I was sooo dissapointed with the last try at a group buy for GTR lower lips that i couldnt wait any longer. I just booked my car in and got a new 400R lower lip (http://members.optushome.com.au/ecr33/gtrr...h/DSC01804a.jpg). I would have liked a GTR series 3 lips but :(

Less than I thought. Geoff must have air freighted his or paid too much. Yes they are very nice and worth the dollars if you want the full monty. Air freight would be a killer due to size but see freight not so bad.

Sorry, mate. I realise that what I wrote was ambiguous. Forget all about the carbon one from Garage Defend - too expensive for me (and probably would not fit a R33 Series II!).

What I meant was: Can you make a full width version of the metal one you are currently offering? If so, how much would you want for one?

Cheers.

Well, my radiator air guide has been ordered... along with a couple of seat covers and a autometer dual pod pillar holder thingy... although the guy on the phone said that there were no pillars available, and it could be a bit of a wait.

    • Have a vb in honour of the car comming back
    • It was a great, but typical track day, and some VB was ingested at the night time debrief 🤪
    • And so, to round this out, I couldn't be happier to confirm @MBS206 has decided to buy the car. He drove down from sunny QLD with a trailer last week and it is off to its new home today. I'll let Matt confirm on next steps but I understand broadly that the plan is to leave it pretty much as is, and just get some quality wheel time with a nicely balanced car that is pretty much track ready. There are a few a jobs still to be done first but nothing too major and I think its a very smart buy Dinner last night at the Paragon with a round of VBs (mostly) for Neil
    • Well, 50 pages and the end of a chapter for this car. We took it out for a shakedown at Wakie yesterday, and everything went well. There were a couple of niggles: - Oil cooler fitting leak - tightened, cleaned, stopped leaking - Radiator cap overflow fitting was leaking....Mark called it, the overflow fitting was threaded in and not tight....tightened, tested and held pressure - Small oil leak at the rear of the block, probably the turbo oil feed - too hot to get at it comfortably but probably just needs to be nipped up - leak at the driver's side rear brake line where it meets the hardline. Fitting wasn't loose, so Matt backed it off and back on, no further leaks - there's also a leak somewhere on the top of the fuel tank, maybe that cross over fuel line - that was has been left to fix when its on a hoist Otherwise than those niggles the car went great, turned great and stopped great so it was a very successful day out. I'm always really nervous when a car first hits the track after a long break, especially with a brand new engine as well but it was great. VID-20251011-WA0007.mp4  Big thanks to @The Bogan who dropped by and helped out, @MBS206 and my nephew Lachlan the apprentice.  Neil's wife Mel also surprised the hell out of all of us by dropping by; she's up in Tamworth these days but was travelling to Melbourne so had plausible deniability for turning up at the garage, it was great to see her but also obviously a bit sad all round.
