Small update.......

A friend / club member of mine had diagnosed an issue with the clutch cooling fan..........the clutch fan was moving within the cooling fan not from side to side but forwards and backwards.............needless to say it had to get fixed.

So I took that step today.

After much debate and swearing in three different languages I managed to remove the cooling / clutch fan without removing the radiator cooling shroud (yes it's all possible)

I didn't go unsaved though

Can't wait to see what it looks like. But should that little much more brighter :)

Been busy paint stripping the rear bumper

post-5053-13943460057865_thumb.jpg anyone know how to remove the paint from the bottom bit? It's rough like the front bumper lip so very difficult to remove cleanly.

Also thought I'd tackled the shit spot welding on the back RHS rear quarter panel

All smoothed out with my trusty powerfile

Next will be a little sanding and then I will paint the rear panel in crystal white to make it nice and clean ;)

Are you going to do anything with the spot welds you grinder back? Wouldn't be much straight left in the welds, if there's any weld left. I can't tell exactly where it is on the car. Thought about some stainless rivets, or rewelding it completely?

nah mate, the way theses spot welds have been applied is pretty full on and there is enough of it left on the car to keep everything nice and strong.

Should I feel the need for more bracing I would spot weld the entire car but it's not necessary...........for now

Spent all day at work reading this start to finish. Amazing. So awesome to see people like you restoring cars and spending so much money for nothing but the best! Love it! One day i'll own a '94 32 GTR V Spec II but for now, my Evo 8 MR will do :P

thank you very much mate. It's comments like this ^ that keep me going.

There are lots of good bits indeed.

But just a little correction it's not a V-spec it's just a late 94 model GTR :)

    • Nice shot! They look super clean. The roof rack delete on the black one is interesting. Would like to see more pictures from different angles. It's subtle but could make quite a difference to how the car looks in profile.
