  • No resting at the bottom of the rep, 1-2 second pause at the top if you want but, no resting the chin up there (it's your funeral)

Supinated/pronated/either?

Allowed to have knees bent or straight legs too?

It's a pullup as opposed to a chin up .so hands over the top of the bar. No chin up grip.

The pullup bar is to be a single bar style .__-----------__

Not the peg style. -I-------I-

No leg movement (kipping) so as long as they are still through the movement , straight or bent is fine (whatever works)

Supinated/pronated/either?

Imagine doing a wide grip chin up with a supinated grip. My wrists elbows and shoulders are crying just thinking about it.

So are they essentially dead hang pull ups?

Even with bent legs I almost touch the ground when doing them on my power rack and in pretty sure my elbows would still be a bit bent...

Grip only had to be wider than shoulders, it wouldn't be that bad.

This will be interesting for me, as I normally do wide grip pulldown behind neck, rather than in front. Should have plenty of translation though.

interesting choice of challenge for a tall, heavy bloke... this one suited to the lighter guys... I used to be able to do 20+ but reckon I'll struggle with anything over 15 at the moment

Well nows your chance to get back (pun) into shape. If you want to go heavier in the deads and bench , this will help as well. Use some scapular retraction at the top of the movement. Maybe not so much for the challenge but, in general.

.

bit harder when you are heavy but, as an example here is a 100kg bloke.for 20. Form and technique as about right for what this is.

remember no vid / no register.

I'll just add to this...this guy rests at the bottom of the last few reps...do not do this, as per rules in first post.

too many dumb rules...like no chalk for example.

Or no resting. Stopping at the bottom or the top makes it harder, not easier, it's not a rest. Don't believe me, then do cadence pull-ups instead.

No kipping, chest to bar/head over bar, arms lockout, overhand grip.

That's all that had to be said.

Seriously do you 'need' chalk to do pullups? I used to be able to do 40 without chalk but, maybe there are people with sweaty hands that need it. Otherwise it's just an aid to get slightly more efficient and some people don't have access to it. You might do more with it but, everyone is going to do without. I didn't use chalk for the deadlift challenge, didn't have any to use.

Rules say you can pause at the top, as you say it's not a rest (I noted it's your funeral). Hanging at the bottom allows the backmuscles some rest at the expense of grip fatigue, thats why it's a no no.

Just be thankfull I didn't ask for people to be wearing a clown suit and do a 1 second static hold mid rep up and down.ha ha....

    • Need to see other side of PCB in that area...ie; I don't see any thru-hole mounting, just soldered vias (smd zeners in SOT23 have 3 legs but only 2 are used, as reflected by PCB tracks)
    • 4 to 5 is fine. It will be slow, but that's better than blowing turbos. I don't have a PS pump idle up solenoid on my car, because... I think when we put the Neo in we retained my R32 lines. But.... From inspecton of the R34 vacuum hose diagram, you can see that the solenoid needs to be connected to the turbo inlet as source of clean air) and the plenum (as source of vacuum - which is the place for the air to flow to to cause the idle to increase). So 3 to 1 is VERY WRONG. 3 should go to either the turbo inlet, or the plenum. Follow the other hose from the PS solenoid and if it goes to the plenum, then your 3 goes to 2 2 would also serve as a bleed port for a boost solenoid.
    • Pull them out and pull more apart. You can't do shit with them still bolted to the floor of the car.
    • Yes it is. ZD1 is on the other side of the board. Where ZD1 is marked is clearly opposite a 2 pin device. Our 3 pin device here is not a ZD.
    • Alright, a little update on this... I called Fulcrum, who used to be the distributor in Australia. No Bueno, they don't service them anymore.  Called shock works, who don't service them but offered to dyno the shocks for performance, and suggested DNA in Sydney might service them.  Called DNA, who also do not service them and basically said they try to steer customers away from tein for this exact reason these days- there is just no support for them anymore apparently.  Both SW and DNA said they are a not necessarily a bad product, but they just don't service the brand or know anyone who does service the brand anymore.  So... I could keep calling around but at this point I think I'll probably just spring for the shockworks product, unless anyone here knows anything.  Cheers 🍻
