EnricoPalazzo
Doing it that method, the rear can still move around. I wouldnt do that anyway, too risky. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/42059-rb25-hks-3040/page/4/#findComment-867496 Share on other sites

whatsisname
Not that it makes much difference anyway, but have you removed any weight out of the car Chris? And what exhaust set-up did/do you use on the strip? I'm just thinking out aloud, as I guess there's a few little things that when added together can make a noticeable improvement without needing any extra horsepower. At the end of the day (and regardless of the above) the time/mph you ran is a bloody legendary effort mate! DoughBoy
I riced it up with a pure carbon bonnet + bootlid, but left everything else in there. Exhaust is same as what I run on the street, no cat, and only a Nismo cannon muffler at the rear. Tis a bit loud, but I need all the help I can get. Oh yeah and I'm weighing in at about 80kgs (gotta lay off the donuts). benm
Oh yeah and I'm weighing in at about 80kgs (gotta lay off the donuts).Ahuh, found my problem !! Weighing in at 100+ kg does not make me suitable as a 1/4 Mile driver Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/42059-rb25-hks-3040/page/4/#findComment-868717 Share on other sites
whatsisname
I'm a tad over 80kg myself... a little more suited to a 1/4 driver than some perhaps? Chris, The carbon boot and bonnet would help a little bit. But not that much. As would the nice loud Nismo zorst. I've just switched over to the same exhaust set-up as you mate. I gained quite a bit of extra mumbo from the swap. I gained quite a bit of noise too! B-Man
So I have to loose 25 kgs to get the same times as Chris ?? Stuff that - I'll just turn the boost up another 5 PSI Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/42059-rb25-hks-3040/page/4/#findComment-869534 Share on other sites
DoughBoy
Ok I changed over the rear coilovers to HKS Drag shocks, while I was under there I took a couple of pics of the suspension setup. I forgot it has a full Nismo link kit (both F+ R), but I doubt that is as effective as adjustable heim jointed upper arms.
