Okay I'll ask in this thread rather than start a new one as we are in need of some further advice

Situation so far is Paul is overseas and not returning texts or calls

I went to his house earlier tonight and his daughter and her boyfriend are staying there at the moment

The boyfriend Bryiden ( or something like that ) was helpful in so far as he indicated that Paul will be back shortly but not sure as to when

He was unable or unwilling to open the garage saying it was locked and the side door had swollen shut due to the rain we have had. The boyfriend is going to try and contact Paul and I left him my number to let me know any outcomes

Now what I need to know is if I can take the police with me to gain access and retrieve my parts as well as those of Cameron's or is it more of a matter for the Sherriff?

I don't want to go about this the wrong way as I don't want to end up in trouble with the law.

Also want to know if anyone else has parts that they are owed can you please post in here with a description or PM as I will gain entry to the garage and I can see what is there and retrieve anything I can for myself and others

After speaking to Cameron earlier it is sounding like if we don't get our stuff now or in the very near future it will be gone for good

So any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Martin

I prob would wait till Paul gets back to you, and if the boyfriend doesn't get back to you, I'd just keep going there an bugging them until he does, surly he will be able to get a hold of him.

I wouldn't be going into anyone's garage to take back, your or anyone else's parts.

How would u feel if someone went into your garage, going though your sht and everyone else's.

In saying that I'm not defending Paul, I've had my own issues with him. Which are similar to yours, and it did my head in.

But I just don't think going into the garage is the right thing.

You would need some sort of police warrant to go there smash down the door and get your gear back, the police would have to do it all, and you would need to supply proof that, you haven't paid for Paul's services, and that you own everything you plan to take.

Hassle the boyfriend, get into contact with Paul. When his back, hassle the fark out of him. Once you get your sht back, never use him again.

Simple

Go and talk to the Police about the ramifications of reporting it stolen, as they are not going to do anything unless that happens - see what they say as essentially that is what has occurred.

Not planning to smash my way in but as I see it I am entitled to retrieve my parts with the home occupiers permission

I have proof of ownership for my parts so he way I see it is I own them I'm taking them with me

I did here back from the boyfriend and there may be a simple outcome to this yet

And yes i would be very pissed off if someone came into my garage and went through stuff

However in saying that it would never happen as I would never take any sort of work on without being able to complete said work, or in short I would never let myself get into that sort of position.

Having just re read m post yes it is over the top to take anyone else's parts however I can still have a look to see what is there if someone is owed. Was more of a trying to help others thing but might just leave that alone for now

FWIW no one else has come forward so it must only be myself and Cameron who are chasing our stuff

I had not thought of doing that

Only spoke to them about entry etc

Will call them and ask as it may have to come to that

Glad you re-phrased, sounded like you were going to reclaim anything you can, which could be another unfortunate customers parts like yourself. That would be painful.

Not everyone would of read this thread to inbox you.

Don't you have a engine being built by Paul aswell..? How it that progressing.?

Well I've been sent a couple of pictures of my things - Looks like "most" of the parts are there. Hoping m.j.h can locate the missing items tomorrow evening!

Ill ring you when I'm there and you can tell me what is yours

If you have pics they must have got the garage open so this is a good start

I hope this is all... Will know more when the Pallet arrives and hopefully Paul picks up his phone.... Until now his phone just rings out.

Thanks again to M.J.H for his assistance on this matter, Let hope you get all your parts located also!

Cheers

Cameron

Well Engine Arrived as safe as can be expected.

Missing parts list now includes:

1 x HKS Intake Cam Gear

    • Even more fun, leave all the ADAS stuff plugged in, but in different locations, hopefully avoid any codes!   And honestly, all these new cars with their weird electronics. Pull all the electronics out Duncan, and just shove an aftermarket ECU and if needed a trans controller in, along with a PDM. Make it run basic but race car styled!
    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
    • So I prepped the car for another track day on Wednesday (will be interesting to see coolant temps post flushing out and the larger reservoir, with a forecast of 3-14 being 20o cooler than last time I took it out). Couple of things to mention; since I am just driving the car and not taking a support vehicle, I took the rear seats out and just loaded the back up Team Trackday style. Look at all that space! To cover off removing the rear seat....it is weird (note the hybrid is probably different because it wouldn't have folding rear seats) Basically, you remove the lower seat base, very similar to a r series but it is a clip that pulls forward to release the base rather than it being bolted down. Easy Then, you need to remove the side section of the rear seat on each side. There is a 14mm head nut at the bottom of the side piece, the it slides upwards off a hook at the top to release; you also need to unhook the seatbelt from the loop at the top. Then the centre piece is weird. You need to release/fold the seats forward with the tab in the boot on each side From there, there are 2,x12mm headed bolts holding the rear of each seat to the folding bracket, under the trim between the rear seat and the boot (4x christmas tree clips there, they suck). The seat is out but you can see where the bolts attach to the bracket
    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
