Recommendation For Exhaust Fabricator In Brisbane

Hey, just wanting to know if any of you fellow V have any recommended exhaust fabricator for custom HFC and Y-Pipe for the 03 coupe.
i went to a shop on slacks creek and they quoted me $900 for the cats alone and $160 for the Y-pipe.
Is it really that expensive or am i just getting ripped?

Whereabouts in Brisbane are you located I'm northside and usually go to TNT performance exhaust in Deception Bay as they are cheap and do good work

southside, but i dont mind going for a drive if they do a better price then 900 for cats lol

Stainless HFC's are expensive, good ones anyway. My cost is around $200 each. At a guess the price is pretty good, depending on what they make for you. I had to cad up the stainless flanges off the manifold and get them laser cut for the job, I doubt they will be going that far though, they will probably try and re-use the oem flange.

I really need to Jig these up, there is obviously a market here right?

200 is cheaper than 450 each ahahaha
going to call around tomorrow for quotes and see how it goes

Yes, but a HFC is just the cat, no flanges to bolt up to your manifold or Y pipe. They need to be welded in a jig to match the stock pipes exactly. If you don't know what you are buying, there is a good chance you will get ripped.

If the quotes are too expensive, perhaps you could fork out for all the equipment to make them yourself?
