my Nur had Nismo injectors before i changed, they were fine for 350'ish rwkw, running 2530's.

Proven, solid injector. I'm in Melb as well. I'm sure i can help you out with a good price just to get you passed these injector issues :)

I tryed to pm you but it won't work just keeps giving me an error message. Don't know what's up. Are the nismo injectors going to fit in my 32. And are they the same cc because I can't tune yet haven't got power fc.

Hey guys I purchased a power fc and controller and second hand denso 550cc injectors

I was just wondering if I can put the injectors in now without the power fc because all the workshops are closing up for chrissy. Will it still run ok or should I wait till power fc gets installed and tuned? Thanks guys

You can setup the injectors in the PowerFC, but you'll need to know the latency of the denso 550s or the idle & low throttle fuelling will be off. Also, you'd be taking a bit of a gamble on the motor if you drive it hard before getting the tune checked after the injector swap.

I would be getting any S/H injectors flow tested before fitting them, injectors sometimes don't like being removed from a fuel system and left on a shelf for a few months. Were they stored in a sealed bag or similar at least?

One slightly blocked injector can really ruin your day... I hope you got them cheap as new injector prices are dropping fast.

Yer the guy took em out of his car cloth baged em bubble warped and boxed and express posted them hense why I was thinking of putting them in the car straight away. I can't get the car booked in till the 6th of jan so I wasn't sure if the injectors will be ok sitting till then or is there a good way to store them ?

Not really, just keep them in a sealed sandwich bag or similar. I would replace the 'O'rings too if they have any sign of damage, and lube them up well before installing them, you don't want petrol leaking over a hot engine.

I use a little silicone spray to lube the Orings..

ok so injectors in power fc in tuned and dyno'd came back with 245kw on 14psi

feels much nicer to drive has realy changed how the boost comes on its a bit more punchy,

im thinking i might need some more mods soon tho to gain a bit more power 300kw would be nice i think :)

All you need is 22psi crammed down it's throat, as long as the fuel system can keep up. Seems to be making good power for the low boost you are running atm.

Having some problems at the moment guys hoping some one can help, I was driving home this arvo and stopped got fuel, drove like 10ks car started spluttering losing power for a second then come good, keep driving same thing splutter a bit then come good. Then I'm doing 80 up hill and it just keeps dropping power and I pull over off the road and it just stalls started up again stall, start up again keep driving not too bud a couple of little splutters then get to the end of the street turn the corner and stall in the middle of the road got it home but worried what it may be dirty fuel pick up from when I fueled up, coils, afm

Any help would be muchos appreciated

Well lets go through process of elimination.

Car drives good -> Stop -> Fill up -> drive off -> car is shit

In conclusion, all evidence points to the variable that you exposed yourself to, the fuel. Therefor empty tank with syphon, go to good petrol station, put in fuel and see if that was the problem.

Well I filled with bp ultimate as I usually do, the fuel light wasn't on its not like the tank was bone dry picking up all the shit at the bottom. And I'd have thought it would caugh and fart within a few minuets of driving if it was bad fuel or shit from bottom of the tank. It used to have a little bit of a loss of power moment before I got the injectors and the ecu done but my mechanic said that looked to be a faulty relay for the fuel pump and they replaced it.

if your car was driving 100% before you filled up.

I dont see how something coincidentally broke at that exact moment unless you mistook your engine bay as the fuel tank.

Also, when you fill up, it sloshes around and mixes together. Its not a layering system

running a tank dead dry will not allow the pump to pick up dirt lol where do you think the sock sits that picks up the fuel? I can tell you now it aint at the top of the tank or you would never drive long enough to see the gauge drop

Take the car back to the dyno if it can be driven and get it on there to see what its doing. Sitting behind the laptop is not going to sort it out any time soon. You have said ages ago that the car used to splutter and stall and clearly the mods now done to the car have not changed anything so there is something else that needs attention

Who tuned it?

With regard to turbo upgrades, take a look into the new Precision Turbo GTR replacements. From what i have seen they should be good for some pretty decent power. Just run them at low boost ;)

    • perhaps i should have mentioned, I plugged the unit in before i handed over to the electronics repair shop to see what damaged had been caused and the unit worked (ac controls, rear demister etc) bar the lights behind the lcd. i would assume that the diode was only to control lighting and didnt harm anything else i got the unit back from the electronics repair shop and all is well (to a point). The lights are back on and ac controls are working. im still paranoid as i beleive the repairer just put in any zener diode he could find and admitted asking chatgpt if its compatible   i do however have another issue... sometimes when i turn the ignition on, the climate control unit now goes through a diagnostics procedure which normally occurs when you disconnect and reconnect but this may be due to the below   to top everything off, and feel free to shoot me as im just about to do it myself anyway, while i was checking the newly repaired board by plugging in the climate control unit bare without the housing, i believe i may have shorted it on the headunit surround. Climate control unit still works but now the keyless entry doesnt work along with the dome light not turning on when you open the door. to add to this tricky situation, when you start the car and remove the key ( i have a turbo timer so car remains on) the keyless entry works. the dome light also works when you switch to the on position. fuses were checked and all ok ive deduced that the short somehow has messed with the smart entry control module as that is what controls the keyless entry and dome light on door opening   you guys wouldnt happen to have any experience with that topic lmao... im only laughing as its all i can do right now my self diagnosed adhd always gets me in a situation as i have no patience and want to get everything done in shortest amount of time as possible often ignoring crucial steps such as disconnecting battery when stuffing around with electronics or even placing a simple rag over the metallic headunit surround when placing a live pcb board on top of it   FML
    • Bit of a pity we don't have good images of the back/front of the PCB ~ that said, I found a YT vid of a teardown to replace dicky clock switches, and got enough of a glimpse to realize this PCB is the front-end to a connected to what I'll call PCBA, and as such this is all digital on this PCB..ergo, battery voltage probably doesn't make an appearance here ; that is, I'd expect them to do something on PCBA wrt power conditioning for the adjustment/display/switch PCB.... ....given what's transpired..ie; some permutation of 12vdc on a 5vdc with or without correct polarity...would explain why the zener said "no" and exploded. The transistor Q5 (M33) is likely to be a digital switching transistor...that is, package has builtin bias resistors to ensure it saturates as soon as base threshold voltage is reached (minimal rise/fall time)....and wrt the question 'what else could've fried?' ....well, I know there's an MCU on this board (display, I/O at a guess), and you hope they isolated it from this scenario...I got my crayons out, it looks a bit like this...   ...not a lot to see, or rather, everything you'd like to see disappears down a via to the other side...base drive for the transistor comes from somewhere else, what this transistor is switching is somewhere else...but the zener circuit is exclusive to all this ~ it's providing a set voltage (current limited by the 1K3 resistor R19)...and disappears somewhere else down the via I marked V out ; if the errant voltage 'jumped' the diode in the millisecond before it exploded, whatever that V out via feeds may have seen a spike... ....I'll just imagine that Q5 was switched off at the time, thus no damage should've been done....but whatever that zener feeds has to be checked... • I think Fitmit had some, have a look on there (theyre Australian as well)
    • Hah, fair enough! But if you learn with this one you can drive any other OEM manual. No modern luxury features like auto rev-matching or hillstart assist to give you a false sense of confidence. And a heavy car with not that much torque so it stalls easily.
