As delusional as Maldanado this bloke.

http://www.planetf1.com/driver/18227/9487921/JEV-I-showed-my-potential

Scrappiest of races with penalities, running off the road left right and centre...yet is claiming it as his arrival drive. Where did he qualify again? :) Hack. Off you go to Nissan LMP1 program and leave Romain to fly the F1 flag

obvious troll is obvious

I'm just going to leave this here:

Last 2 races:

Singapore

12 13 Pastor Maldonado Lotus-Renault 60 +66.9 secs 18

13 8 Romain Grosjean Lotus-Renault 60 +68.0 secs 16

Italy

14 13 Pastor Maldonado Lotus-Renault 52 +1 Lap 16

15 99 Adrian Sutil Sauber-Ferrari 52 +1 Lap 14

16 8 Romain Grosjean Lotus-Renault 52 +1 Lap 17

what's that saying? "you're only as good as your last race", or in this case two lol

hmmm,

a "foreign substance" contaminated the electronic circuits in his steering column...

then a later tweet says

the contaminant was a substance used in normal pre-event servicing of the component.

dodgy. If it was a nomal substance used in normal servicing, why would you call it a foreign substance/contaminant? Funny how this normal substance used in normal pre-event servicing only found it's way into the electronics immediately as the cars rolled out for the race, not at the start of the event.

f**k it, i had to listen to years of Webber conspiracy theorists! :P

What substance would you use to "service" a wiring loom that would potentially contaminate the electronics that the loom plugs in to?

Think hair gel is a more believable explanation.

    • Even more fun, leave all the ADAS stuff plugged in, but in different locations, hopefully avoid any codes!   And honestly, all these new cars with their weird electronics. Pull all the electronics out Duncan, and just shove an aftermarket ECU and if needed a trans controller in, along with a PDM. Make it run basic but race car styled!
    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
