Switching from a luxury 4 door sedan to a Skyline I could never have guessed how much it influences peoples behaviour around you. As soon as they get a glimpse of the car 50% of drivers gun their cars.

Its flapping annoying, especially since I have no interest in racing them and just want to drive economically. And I'm not talking sports cars, no, I mean ANY car they are in. Even young girl drivers or middle aged men that are in Barinas or Getz.

I find wherever I go in Sydney except the CBD I get people tailgating me, then overtaking me or accelerating hard off the lights if they are in another lane next to me. My car is a piece of shit so but its got a 400R kit with deepish 19in rims so I guess from far it looks quick.

I blame the Fast and Furious movies. I wish the skyline was a niche car for people that appreciate it, not something to be bought for scraps and trashed by every dickhead that buys it. I know a few wreckers and you wouldn't believe the amount of accident damaged skylines I see. At least 5 a week and most are R33s.

sometimes going down to Sydney , even in a 3 lane section the outside is bloked and they just fn sit there no matter what you do because I do not think they ever look in the rear visions, bloody madening  some times you have to go to the inside lane to get past the AH :glare:

The problem is when you stamp on it to overtake and get caught the fines go through the roof because you can hit some high numbers by the time you pull back in.

In the old days you were allowed to over take as quickly as you could and when you have over taken get back on the speed limit, this is a better way to do it, bit hard now as you cannot speed to over take and you can sit out there as the bloke you are over taking also increases his bloody speed, I do it ASAP and take the chance, stupid , I guess so ???

yeah I get it all the time on appin road / appin bulli road (Sydney)..........I really don't give a f**k about how far up my arse they are, im doing the posted speed limit, if they highbeam me I just fold my side mirrors in then I care even less about what I cant see.

I have the same comment for Abdul's post as well.

I call them TOWNIES, because they don't get out of town very often & they forget that its a $220 fine here in NSW for failing to keep left, unless overtaking.

If only the boys in blue would book them more often, they would relieve ALOT of tension on the roads & reduce accidents, especially during holiday times......

B-b-b-u-t by driving Camrys, they feel entitled to default to lane 3 or 2 :whistling::whistling:

Old Confucian Saying...

"Man who has open road ahead is probably blocking traffic"

:P

:teehee:

I rarely get tailgated because I use my rear view mirror and predict a tailgater early and I get out of their way before they have a chance to do so....even if it means I have to speed up a little to do so...I know it sounds crazy right?...

I make up for it by indicating late to annoy people behind me...and the closer you are...the later I indicate

yes

i so knew you would do that ;)

funnily enough do find alot of skyline drivers drive like f**king grandmas..

But I empathize that they are probably too worried about being butt raped by the popo should they do anything ............well, anything!

    • Hi guys . Can someone help me  I bought an Android screen for my Nissan fuga but it won't turn on
    • My guesstimate, with no real numbers to back it up, is it won't effect it greatly at all.its not a huge change in position, and I can't see the air flow changing from in turbulence that much based on distance, and what's in front of it. Johnny and Brad may have some more numbers to share from experience though.
    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
