Hey Guys,

I am trying to track down a car my husband owned and sold a few years ago.

We live in Wollongong, NSW and sold to a guy in syd.

Originally purchased from AutoStyle in syd for $25k.

Is white and has a bit of engine work, strut brace in back seat and Advanti wheels.

Number plate was originally BEX.59P but pretty sure we sold it as JETR33 or similar.

Sold for $16 as we couldnt afford it at the time - just trying to find the car again - my husband misses it so much.

If anyone has any info on this car please let me know!

Also, if you have any ideas on how to track down a vehicle through number plate or vin i would greatly appreciate it, Thanks!

*Sorry, photo of the engine was too large so wouldnt let me load :(

I think they may be Enkie rims and it's an R32. If you recall the name of the person you sold it to, you can call your local roads authority and confirm if he/she is or isnt still the registered owner, they wont outright tell you who owns it tho.

Best of luck with the hunt

You are so right, i dont know why i typed JetR33... he had 2 R33s before this car. Sorry.

I have done a check and the report comes up a little confusing as it says:

  • The registration is cancelled.
  • The registration expired on 07/08/2011.

But then says:

22-Jun-2009 to 9-Oct-2011 Pensioner 10-Oct-2011 to present Private

Also states it was not a write off etc

We sold it in 2009.

I happened to find a receipt with the buyers name who i have tried contacting through facebook so hopefully i get a lead.

God i wish my wife was as cool as you

I missed my old GTR too and sometime i talk about looking for it and purchase it again. Owning GTR is personal, another GTR is not the same :(.

Good luck.

    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
