Hi everyone

,just wanting to know some good exhaust systems that I'm looking to put on my r32 gtr,

I've done a bit of research but just wanting second opinions n feedback to get me on the right track.

I'm wanting to put a turbo back system on it don't really have a budget just want a quality system to boost it up a bit and get that raw gtr sound. The Hks hi power system is catching my eye ATM, if anyone's got the same set up I'll be interested to know the details.

Thanks guys.

Change the front pipes to equal length ones.

Do this!

I dont own a car with a 26, but I do know that equal length front pipes make them sound like porn (I hate the standard 26 note, too me they sound like n/a RB lol)

Oh not to mention I am sure there is a decent performance increase over standard front / dump pipes!

(equal)

(unequal)

Same system besides front pipes

I got quoted 2500 for a stainless system from the front pipes back. Hi flow cats, main pipes split into 2 2inch pipes back down into a 3inch to the tip.

Fergot what the place was called but he said that a gtr with stock turbos theres no point changing the outlet pipes and front pipe as there will be not much difference from stock...?

Not a fan of the cannon tips either need something that flows with the car.

Whats use reken of the mine's silence vx

Horse shit, in a R32 GTR the dump pipe - front pipe and cat is the biggest gain even on stock turbs, it really wakens the car up

Build your exhaust for any future possible mods, there is no such thing as to big when it comes to an exhaust, just what you can fit and how loud you can handle it

My recommendation is dump pipes with 3" outlets, twin 3" front pipes with 3.5 outlet and full 3.5 exhaust unless you plan on going 3ltr then go 4" instead of 3.5

Yeah when he was telling me this I was like yeah whatever .

Alright deffo going a turbo back system. Now just need to figure out if I want bolt on or custom

That system you just recommended . How much would something like that be worth, just a estimate.

Depends on meterial used, I use these guys as its not worth custom on dump pipes and these spent the time designing and testing to make sue they work, I have both normal replacement style and the competition series, pay the money and get the comp ones, I recommend the black ceramic coated, bottom right

http://www.cesracing.com.au/products_2.htm

Then a good cat $250-$300 and catback $750-2000, again depending on meterial, mild steel coated is what I use as it is quieter an stainless

I got a custom system from Windsor exhaust custom made from the dump pipes consisting of twin 3" to twin 3" cats with 5" bodies then twin 3" trough to a single 4" center muffler then 4" out to a custom HKS 4" connon I made and the cost $1250 fitted

2nded for windsor exhaust.

4" turbo back in mild steel.

5" cat.

2 mufflers.

weld pipe to manifold for wastegate.

wrapped the dump/wastegate pipe.

and made a turbo to guard (intercooler) pipe.

$1700.

I love the work.

its pretty quiet (how I wanted).

would highly recommend.

Nice both them set ups sound good ,I like the more aggressive note sharper tone instead of the muffled tone.but titaniums ways to much for an exhaust.

How much kW or HP can you get from a good system like those ones yous described

On that link you sent it says 40kw gaiin just for them black ceramic outlets . Is that legit ??

On a healthy stock 32, yeah pretty much, but not so much on 33-34s, those figures are from dyno testing done when designing those systems

As for gains depends on how bad the system you have is, if full stock with 20+ years of crap build up you could pick up a fair bit, but the biggest gains are dump-front-cat, then the rest depends on power level, the more power the bigger it needs to be

I designed my system to support 500awkws+ so overkill for most

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
